The best cooked sushi I have tried so far.. My husband and I had lunch at Joy's and we were delighted at how good the food taste. The restaurant very crowded so the food came relatively quickly.. We had their vegetable Tempura, avocado roll and crab roll... We ate everything.. It was so good!

Great quality sushi at reasonable prices. No bones in my unagi at all.

Exceptionally fresh and delicious. My personal favorites are the Samurai roll and the Caltrain roll, also love the edamame appetizer. The staff is very friendly and attentive:)

All time San Mateo favorite! Friendly staff and great food. Update September 2021: We moved from San Mateo and haven't visited Joy in more than 2.5 years. First time back on Saturday night! Not only did staff remember us and our son who was only 2 years old at the time, but also our special orders

I LOVE this place. I'm a sashimi lover and to date, this has been the best place to get the best bang for your buck in terms of that. Give the chirashi and the deep fried oysters a shot. The service is decent, but I really don't care given how much I love the quality and portions of their fish. :D

This was my first time trying Poke. I had the salmon and spicy Tuna, it was delicious. My husband ordered Susi And wasn't disappointed. Next time I'm in SF I will definitely come back.
