In A Nutshell: -Fiero Caffe is a small sidewalk cafe located along the border of downtown San Mateo. -It's actually very spacious once you walk inside. -If you love a good omelet I suggest you either order the "egg" or "sicilian" omelettes. -The Sicilian has some very good sausage inside it! -If you can grab a table out front, I would do that especially in the morning. Overall, this is a very nice little cafe in San Mateo.

Best Tiramisu. Better than average latte and Croissant. Eggplant dishes are real deal. Both indoor and outdoor seating has homely feeling. Penne salmon will get 10/10.

Lovely little place for a nice weekend brunch. Got the latte and a vegetarian pesto panini. Latte was average, not that great. I’d give it a 3/5. But the pesto panini was amazing. Loved the pesto sauce. Lots of seating options but does get quite busy in some hours so might not get a seat. Will come back to try the pasta once.

A wonderful Italian cafe. The dishes here are prepared well with quality ingredients. The Mediterranean omelette was very tasty and came with great quality bread. Ask for avocado and you won’t be disappointed. The cafe also has a nice selection of pastries to choose from. Looking forward to coming back.

The coffee and pastries here were the closest thing I've had to the stuff you can get in Europe without travelling. Had a mocha and chocolate croissant. Croissant was super fresh, and had delicious semi-sweet chocolate and nut filling that didn't overpower with sugar. Great value for the cost. Mocha: delicious espresso, and excellent quality chocolate. No sugar added because none was needed, semi sweet and delicious on it's own. Will definitely be back to try the lunch, the smells coming from the kitchen were incredible!

Wow, amazing carbonara! I wasn’t sure about eating it for breakfast, but I couldn’t resist and it was a great decision! I can’t wait to try another dish from there. I would stick to the pasta dishes just because they are more uniquely good, but the breakfast eggs+sausage was good too. I should mention that the coffee is also amazing. You have to pay for a refill though. Note that there is no option to tip. I guess this owner actually pays their staff a decent wage… i wish i lived closer so i could go there more often, yummy! :-D

Great place to eat breakfast! The coffee is fresh and offered many ways. You can dine in or out and the food never disappoints. The owner is friendly and if you are a regular it is like eating at home. Cute, quaint and delicious!
