One of the best Taquerias in all of Southern California 💗 a true gem in deep south orange county 💚 Anytime we have a soccer tournament in San Diego or a surf trip down to Trestles..El CAMPEON is a must. I always go twice on a trip from Los Angeles 🎯 I love the LENGUA Tacos and Burritos...the carnitas are excellent and so is the fresh juice! I get the Apple, Lemon, Ginger, Carrot..fresh juice! I love El CAMPEON ... What a goldmine..a beautiful food experience for all foodies

Great place to eat breakfast and lunch maybe even dinner. We usually stop here coming from SD to LA. Thankfully, they open early, making it easier for traveling so convenient. If you’re coming from SD get off on Ortega Highway on the 5fwy. Off topic tho, I share great memories here with an uncle who recently passed. Before I moved to SD from LA we worked on the river. fixing the channels near the Mercedes dealership. Therefore, this place and town will always have a place in my heart a solid recommendation. That alone the food is amazing. RIP tio “Choco”

I came here for lunch since I work nearby and this place did not disappoint. You immediately feel like you are inside a traditional taqueria. There are a lot options but went with a torta de milanesa. One of the best tortas I’ve had in OC. Some places don’t put queso fresco in thier tortas which is a huge disappointment but thankfully this place does. They also have jalapeños inside so if you don’t like the spicy you can ask them to not include them. And best of all the milkshake! I love liquados and some places don’t add cinnamon or use bananas that aren’t quite ready yet. This place does them amazing. Highly recommend and will be coming back for sure!

Great for low carb eaters. I had a four-meat bowl. Super tasty and the price is reasonable. However, with many such places the system leves A lot to be desired. They need to team up with a German and fix the ordering-waiting-paying methodology. Our food was prepared and ready, but sitting in a queue for the cashier, meanwhile it's getting cold (and it wasn't as hot as I would have liked). Why not let us eat and we'll pay when you're ready? Also, getting our drinks was handled by yet another person. They also have no wifi and no free soda refills. But the food is fantastic and it's best a Tesla supercharger, so that's a plus.

This is hands down my favorite taco place. I drive from south SD to eat here at least once a month. It's delicious, and portions are huge. You can't beat it. And the prices are amazing.

Man, this place was busy during this time of Lunch hours. The line was long , but customers had waited patiently including me...The foods were fresh and awesome good. The workers were friendly and helpful to the customers . The line was getting shorter and faster even thou the customers kept flowing in. I ordered a carne asada burrito for my lunch. there was big and a lot of meat inside . it was so good and delicious, I can hardly finish it.. You could feel the vibes at this place when you first walk in . This restaurant attracts all kind of people from the walk of life to enjoy their foods.

Mexican carniceria and panaderia with huge tacos. Came here to get a snack before lunch with my dad on a Monday while my mom was at the Basilica, and ended up more full than I was expecting off of 1.5 tacos. We got lengua, Al pastor, and carnitas. The Al pastor was my favorite, but they’re all good. The meats were super flavorful and were piled high in the flour tortillas. 2-3 tacos should be enough for a meal. You order first, wait for your order number to be called, and then pay at the separate counter. They have outdoor tables. Bring cash. Parking lot is available. I didn’t notice any public restrooms. It’s super casual and seemed to be very popular, as there was always a line (albeit one that moved fairly quickly).

You want traditonal mexican food? This is the place to go. The portions are huuuuge for great prices. Small tables outside. I had 2 tacos, the goat and the bbq pork and they were filling and delicious. It was well worth the walk.

Food is always good here. I ordered food for an event/party and everyone raved on how good the food was. We ordered the food 1 day in advance. Our food was ready on time when we went back the next to pick it up. Food that I have tried here so far; Asada, Carnitas, Barbacoa, Rice, Beans, red and green salsa. Everything was really good. We'll definitely be coming back here. The portion size is very good too.

Close to home and great food. My contractor shared carnitas with us one day. The food was so good we began to eat there frequently. The menudo is packed with tripas and the line is worth the wait for tacos de lengua!

This a one Stop shop for all of your Mexican specialties everything from sweet Mexican bread to carne asada tacos. There so much variety! The aguas frescas is my jam, for sure. The atmosphere is very authentic Mexican carniceria type of store + more.
