Hawiian Bar Bq - San Jose - Photo album

Pleasantly surprised đź‘Ť just a hole in the wall mom n pop but pretty good food. Pig n cabbage had a nice kiawe smoke to it , could use a touch more meat but was pretty darn good for some off island bbq. I'd be back anytime.
I really like Loco moco and BBQ. I was excited to find a place that had both! They tasted great and price was so much cheaper than expected and they have good, hearty portions! I was amazed.
It's a great hole in the wall place for Hawaiian food. When you order, it will take probably about 10 to 15 minutes to be ready. We ordered the family deal with rice, macaroni salad, barbecue beef, barbecue chicken, and katsu chicken.
The couple that runs this establishment is very sweet. The food is amazing and have been coming here long before the Hawaiian “big chain” opened up the street. Always enjoy the musubi, chicken katsu, and loco moco but the honey walnut shrimp and orange chicken are delicious as well.
The food is good but like everything else they are a bit overpriced. I don't like the chicken skin being included on top an already thin slice of meat. I've been there twice and even though they have lots of tables I haven't seen anyone eat in there. Its always cold because they leave the doors wi

Previous reviews were almost a deterrent, glad I came. Yes they have a min credit card purchase or a .50 fee, seems reasonable in a mom and pop shop. Food was really good, and the menu is extensive. It's also shared space with a donut shop, if your looking for dessert or a breakfast sandwich.
We dined here many times throughout the years and we tried all the chicken, beef and seafood rice plates and it's consistently delicious and full of flavor. The macaroni salad is just as tasty. The lady working the cash register is always smiling and very pleasant. Prices are reasonable and the din
Takeout only. Food is decent and reasonably priced.
The chicken katsu musubi is good here. The portions are pretty good for the price. I'm not sure why there are photos of L&L barbecue stuff but I've already reported to Google that this is not the place. Still, the food is good.
I'm pretty particular about loco moco, musubi and macaroni salad which is why I love going here. The musubi is grilled and served with that good sauce. The katsu always has generous portions and the macaroni salad is typically heavy with mayo but not so much it makes it disgusting. They have definit
