Best Bakery and owner in the bay area! Maria feels like my grandma when I talked to her face to face, she is nice, kind and caring. Made my girl a beautiful unicorn cake and it tastes very delicious too! She took her time helped me with every little detail of the cake. I parked my car a little far, she helped me carried the cake to my car, we also love her egg tarts. Thank you!

It's a Portuguese bank. It takes cash only. Will you expect? Hey great baked goods and wonderful friendly staff speaking in Portuguese

My favorite Portuguese bakery. Everything is so good. I will keep coming here until they retire.

A little bit of Potugal found in San Jose, great tasting pastries.

For authentic Portuguese baked delicacies try this bakery. Their selection may not be vast but what they do have is amazing. The papo seco rolls are so soft and delicious. Warm them at home for an out of this world roll! Gotta go back and try the natas!

Lovely local owned small business. Besides the popular items that everyone discussed to death about, one of my other favorite is the sweet rolls. If you had French brioche before, this taste very similar and contain 8 simple ingredients that I can read. No funny tongue rolling bad for your body ingredients. Oh....and they are baked fresh daily too. As I'm moving toward clean eating, I'm making an effort to be mindful what I put into my body

This bakery is known for its tarts but most regulars come for the bread. The difficulty is parking. I was told customers can park behind the store, so when driving, look for a "Salon" sign snd make a right before the bakery. (I parked at a nearby intersection but space was limited.)
Under COVID19 rules, only one guest is allowed inside at a time. If visiting, I suggest also getting coffee from Cafe do Canto across the street at the intersection. (February 2022)

Being from a town back east I miss the feel of a true Portuguese bakery. This is my cure for that. Sweetest staff in the world, very old school mentality in customer service, they are not robots. Papos Secos on delicious and the sweet bread is pretty good too. They don't have the largest variety of pastries or breads, but enough to make me feel like I'm back home.
