Goveas Restaurant - San Jose - Photo album

I typically do not leave reviews but this restaurant deserves one. We arrived late after a long drive from out of state looking for a good meal but nothing fancy. Found the site on Google as we were driving in. The place is modest but the food is very good. We enjoyed the 7-Mares and Pozole soup
Been coming here for almost 20 years. This place is our Go-To when we cant decide what to have for dinner. Everything is good and the owners and employees are very nice. My kids used to order a Hamburger (with fresh Papas) when we came here but they have now graduated to Chili Verde and Enchiladas.
I go to Govea's Restaurant as often as I can for their good old fashioned chicken soup. Great stuff. Posole and flautas are ptetty good, too., The bacon & egg breakfast with freshly fried papitas, is super good. However, be aware that they will be served with beans & rice, unless you ask for potato
We had dinner here tonight for the first time. The food was excellent and was inexpensive. They serve you two types of salsa: a pico de gallo and a red salsa that has a nice burn. The chips were store bought but I forgive them. I had the al pastor burrito for $4.99. But they have avocado slices
Best place we've been to since we moved to California from Texas. We've been there like 5 times. Service is great. Cold beers great caldo de res n menudo. Friendly customer service. New owners now. Met both husband and wife Ben n Giselle great people.
Tasty, inexpensive, and fresh food. Great and friendly service.
