Sushi Koya - San Jose - Photo album

The server was so kind even if we came in a bit late. No sign of attitude at all. They’re located in an awkward area, so parking is a bit of a challenge which is easily covered by the parking lot over by McDonald’s. Hot tea was free! Miso soup is delish and BBQ mussels has a slightly different taste
Pros: very nice and attentive staff, good selection of food (classic, cooked, veggie, special), nice atmosphere, good sized rolls Cons: restroom is outside the restaurant, flaming dragon was way too greasy and sauced that is not expected or pleasant for sushi rolls. Flaming dragon came with no sides
Great place to get sushi in San Jose! I ordered sashimi and the fish is fresh like and flavorful. Pretty pricey but worth it. Place gets packed real quick so get there early or you'll be waiting. I'd definitely would go back for more!
Overall solid Sushi. Good sized rolls and nice amount of fish. Food came out quickly and was tasty. Didn't need soy sauce, most special rolls had enough sauce already.
Service was very fast and courteous. Upon seating, they provide a nice broth soup. My sashimi was fresh and delicious. The large house saki was a nice addition to my meal. Overall, a very nice dinner.
I just love the simplicity and speed at this joint. Been missing out for a while for not making it my first stop when in doubt about what to eat. Thank you for the fast service and feeding this brother just in time 😊 🍱
Super cute and cozy place. The food is very delicious. They have a lot of options for sashimi and cooked rolls. Very nice atmosphere. The service is wonderful. Food come out fairly quickly.
I love this place! Their classic sushi rolls are perfect and their specialty rolls are great. The Garlic Roll was delicious and the 2424 is massive. The 49er roll here is great. It has the perfect ratio of fish and lemon, I haven't had it better anywhere else. The sushi rice here is sweeter than oth
we are loyal to sushi koya. if you want everything cooked go for dragon roll i love that .
Absolutely delicious. The tempura was the best we've had recently, and the ankimo was nicely presented and very good. The sashimi was plentiful and of very high quality. Prices were also decent. I've eaten at Japanese restaurants all over the Bay Area and this is one of the better ones.
My favorite local place. The service here is always top notch. I am always greeted with a warm hello and free hot Miso soup. The Sashimi is always the best available and well bled. Bento boxes are a meal for two in my opinion. The Hamachi Kama is the best I have ever had. Try the Dancing Albacore!
Their tempura looked amazingly big but when my husband took a bite, the shrimp was so skinny and small. So I think they used too much flour and breading for the tempura. The salmon bento is what I ordered I love love love their veggie sushi.
This place is such a hidden gem for getting sushi in the Bay Area! Unlike the other sushi restaurants nearby, Sushi Koya has short wait time, amazing pricing, large portions, and fresh ingredients! In particular, we really enjoyed the chirashi and the sashimi. They’re delightfully delicious, especi
The price /value was good. The sever was very friendly but seems they’re little overwhelmed. The rice was little sticky/muddy but it’s my personal preference I guess. It was nice for them giving us 2 free miso soup while we waited for food.
