Excellent service and delicious food. The staff were so welcoming and friendly and the food was so yummy and satisfying. We had veggie samosas to start and our entrees were the chicken tikka masala, shrimp kebab & daal tadka. The tikka masala was absolutely incredible. We ordered garlic naan and onion kulcha and our server recommended we order the bread basket which also included a cheese stuffed garlic naan that paired incredibly with our meal. We were so happy with our experience and will definitely be back again with friends!

Came in on a quiet Monday night. It was *really good* for its location and at that price point!
I was lured in to try their cheese garlic naan. It was amazing. I wish it were slightly poofier but that’s ok! It was still delicious. First bite was very garlicky and cheesy as promised.
We also got butter chicken which was very rich and creamy. Again, super delish and came with a giant side of basmati rice.
The other entree we ordered was the Emperor of India special - which was like a tandoori chicken/ lamb/ fish / shrimp. Ya all of those proteins. Again. Fantastic at $18!!
Definitely coming back sometime soon to try some of their other curries.
Oh and service was hella fast and the staff were very nice.

This place is so interesting to me because the food is really good, most of the time. At times it could be inconsistent. Maybe it depends on the chef that day, but their lunch buffet is to die for, when it's made properly.
I've been going here for many years and 9 times out of ten, it will be really good.
If there were one thing I would change, it would be the service. They seem to employ quite a number of people, but they rarely check on you.
I really like this place and I hope that when you go, it's the right chef making the food.

I had dinner with my work colleagues. We ordered Paratha, their new Garlic cheese nan, palak paneer, lamb biryani, kadai chicken and malai kabobs. My favorite was palak paneer. Malai kabobs were enjoyed by all. For me, the kabobs were great, vegetables in malai were tasty but didn't have much flavor. Kadai chicken was okay- I have eaten better versions and I make one at home so maybe I am biased. Biryani was delicious. The new garlic cheese nan was a new addition to the menu, we tried it- they were good.

Excellent Indian cuisine. All you can eat! There is a variety of main dishes and a couple of desserts. The tea is fantastic. I highly recommend it!

A nice, quiet, all you can eat lunch buffet corner. Delicious food. The service is very friendly & polite, and makes you want to come here again for the food & quiet ambience. Don’t be fooled by the dull interior. The food is really good. Veg and non-veg varieties. Perfectly flavored, too! Highly recommendable.

I'm from Cyprus and living in San Jose CA for the last 4 years and Indian cuisine is my favorite.
As an international flight attendant the best Indian restaurants was always in the UK.
I've tried many different restaurants in the bay area and wasn't happy at all.
At Emperor of India the taste and quality of Indian cuisine reminds me the authentic taste of what I was used for.
Today for the 3rd time dining in I met with the owner and I'm pleased to say how professional and polite person is.

Love this place! Great fresh food, awesome staff and owners are very nice and generous people. Plus it's hard to find decent Indian food on the south side, but regardless, excellent tasting food. True gem in San Jose.

This is the best Indian food in the area! I would highly recommend this place and I would say the lady in the front that seats you is super friendly which is a great way to be greeted into a restaurant! The food is amazing and I have been coming here for a while now!

Vegetarian dishes are very wholesome with good spices and low heat . Love the fact the they don’t use too many chillies
Saag paneer is lovely with hints of fresh Garam masala
Carrot and potato stew is good
So is the Chana masala

I've been going here for years the quality and service has always been consistently good. The staff are very nice. The food is fresh I usual go for there special lunch buffet $12.99 per person. The butter chicken and lamb curry is delicious!

This is the best Indian food I have ever had! You can tell they are passionate about what they do here. They are very friendly and accommodating. They never rush us to leave if we are still enjoying food past closing. My favorite restaurant I have ever been to and I have traveled the US✨🌸✨

Very good ambience, excellent service and equally good food. We were a group of 12 with few kids and were treated well. No complains and would surely visit again. Hyderabadi lamb was very nice, soft and nice texture. Malai tikka could be little soft and creamy but no issued with other things we ordered. Kids enjoyed as well. Chef and staff were visiting repeatedly to ask if everything's ok, nice gesture. Appreciate the service. Cheers.

Fantastic find off of Cottle road! Legit N Indian food!
We got chicken korma, chicken saag, bhaingan bharta, butter naan, rice, mango lassi, and for dessert kheer and gulab jaman. All were delicious and the generous portions were welcome.

Their food is awesome. I love their butter chicken and lamb hyderabadi. Price is really reasonable. Food is really consistent whether you order it from uber eats or you do dine in, you know you will have great food. Also, they have all you can eat buffet during lunch time. Owners and employees are extremely nice and friendly.
