Food was delicious! We got lunch combo (palaak paneer and veg kofta). Combo includes rice, dahl, Naan and salad. I especially like the veg kofta. Different approach to a veg kofta that I normally have. The place including tables and chairs (and even utensils) could have been cleaner though.

Great service and even better food! Use the self service menu and checkout if you’re not familiar with the dishes listed on the chalkboard that way you can see photos. Great affordable price and just damn tasty food. Will definitely be back soon.

Used to go there weekly for the butter chicken (then I moved). Still the best I've ever had!
Bit of a hole in the wall, not sure if that's changed but will definitely be coming back when I'm the area!

I had the Lamb curry and an order of Butter Naan. It was heavenly. They even made it extra spicy for me. This restaurant recent got renovated. I suggest trying it again if you haven't been there in years. Advise for first timers, try the everything.

So tried this local favorite joint for a quick bite. Tried one falafel wrap and desi chicken wrap
Positive
- freshly made fluffy bread
- all ingredients that one would expect to find in wrap
- very quick service
- chicken was moist and falafel had good taste too
Improve
- need more mint sauce or some spicy chutney to stand out. Freshness of cucumber, tomato and salad offsets chicken seasoning and after a bite it start tasting bit bland
Would not mind trying again for sure

I only tried their wraps and I love them! The service is really good and good price too! I would 100% reccomend this spot for someone who wants to try indian wraps! Will come back everytime I come to San Jose!!!

I love Tandoori Cafe, the owners are such kind and friendly people. The service is extraordinary and they are very thoughtful. The food is 100% zabiha halal. My family has been coming here for years and we love the food. So many flavors and is always great quality. Good price for so much food. I can never get bored of Tandoori Cafe, and if you are ever nearby I very much recommend this place!

This is one of the best Pakistani/Indian restaurants I’ve ever been to!! The food is absolutely delicious with reasonable prices, the chicken And fish wraps was great and delicious with all star ratings, their Beryani is amazing and the chicken Tandoori was in another level, the staff was friendly with great attitude and it’s very clean
The only thing they need to change is charging for the milk tea which is kinds of odd with Indian/Pakistani Hospitality!
Otherwise it’s a Five start Restaurant and highly recommended

As a British person I have extremely high standards for what’s a good curry!… When in America I’ve travelled east coast to west coast just trying to find a curry as good as one from home but I have never succeeded. Until now. If you want a great curry, go to this place, you won’t regret it. The service is quick and it’s very affordable too. We will be back

Love the paneer and veggie wraps! We frequently order from here.
A couple of suggestions though:
1. The wrap is packed tight in aluminum foil while the naan is still hot. It is not easy to remove the foil, and tiny pieces of the foil frequently get stuck in the wrap. It would be good to wrap it in parchment paper or something similar first and then in foil
2. It will be good to have a whole wheat or multigrain option for the naan.

So much more than Tandoori!
Update: Still great food! The reward program is very nice if you are a regular customer. I usually get food to go (whether pre or post pandemic).
My only quibble is that the people taking the order usually seem exhausted or otherwise not very happy. They are not rude or mean in any way. Just not as welcoming as you would expect to a repeat customer. Which is too bad because it has made me reconsider giving tips. And I *want* to support this place!
Otherwise the food is still heavenly. 😋
My favorite is definitely the goat kahari!

Great place to eat your favorite Indian and Pakistani dishes: Biryani, Seekh Kabab, Tikka Masala, Meat curries, Saag meats, and Vegetarian curries.
They have a great selection of meats: lamb, goat, and of course, chicken. They even have fish.
I had the Goat Kahari and the Lamb Curry (they were out of the Lamb Boti) and it was wonderful! Flavorful, not too spicy (although I do like spicy, but this was fine for a first taste), aromatic, yet subtle. The goat was a tad more oily than expected, but still nice. And the naan is just the way naan should be: full of flavor (even the plain version) and chewy, yet not too rubbery. Perfect.
Great find! I will be back!
Note: I did take out, but the staff was very helpful and friendly.

One bite and I almost had tears in my eyes because of how good the food was. Must try this cute little place with big bold flavors! The staff was really friendly too. I'm so glad we found this gem on our trip to San Jose.

Very nice workers, very hospitable. Certain hours have certain people with it. When I went there, my family had great staff. They made us a drink that was not officially on their menu, and were extremely respectful about it (even let us try a sample to see how we liked it). Definitely a great restaurant!

This is a restaurant that my friends and I have been attending for years. Delicious food and not too long of a wait for a good price. Highly recommend.

Have ordered couple of times. Lamb boti kabab, chicken seekh, mutton seekh, Lamb Chapli. The items in general lack flavor and taste bland. Lamb boti was hard. Nothing special about the food.
Edit - May 2022. Tried Lamb seekh and Lamb chapali again. Flavours seems to have improved. Would say its tastes okay. 4/5.
