Kaita Restaurant - San Jose - Photo album

I enjoyed my chicken teriyaki don lunch. The chicken has a great smoky charred flavor and the teriyaki sauce is delicious. My favorite is the miso soup that comes with the meal. Friendly staff!
Great flavor and portion sizes I especially liked their knife work on the ginger and unique flavor of wasabi! It’s sweeter than most but is just as spicy. Fish was very fresh and delicious! Highly recommend their sashimi :) Photos: Fish Bento & Small Negitoro Don w/Tanuki Udon (Special #4)
Very small place with delicious food. Definitely not a place for a group meal. Great place for a small family or couples! A significant menu and everything we tried was well prepared. Loved the broiled salmon! So much more to choose from I will be returning soon.
Hi, I’m kaita’s biggest fan, think I’ve been there more than 10 times since my boyfriend first introduced it to me. It is very authentic, (i had lots of exposures to Japanese food growing up), and it feels like a good home meal mom cooks for you. We usually get two special menus (they write daily sp
Freshest sushi I’ve had in San Jose. Small restaurant perfect for a cute date. My bf and I went for a last minute dinner date and it was adorable and all the staff was friendly and we could not pick what was our favorite part of the meal from the fried chicken, gyoza, rainbow roll, sushi or tuna. A
The restaurant is small and quite crowded, but food quality is great.
Located in downtown SJ in Japantown, this small shop has a range of cozy Japanese food and daily specials. It's a mom and pop shop that gets busy even on weekdays with customers of all backgrounds. My friend and I came here around 6:15 PM; it was empty when we entered, but soon it filled up with a w
I live in Japan Town for a few years and Kaita is perhaps one of the best Japanese izakaya type restaurants here in Japan Town. They have great specials - but I would suggest go with the flow and try their Fish dishes. One improvement they could make is their table registration system - the restaura
Authentic Japanese Restaurant 💯👌 Friendly staff. Good ambiance. Large portions. Fairly priced. It was our first time in San Jose and we went to Japantown for lunch. Searched for Japanese restaurants in the area and this one got our attention. Less reviews but seemed authentic to us. My husband orde
Very homey and cozy restaurant that sells authentic home style Japanese meals. Their specials are delicious and the meal sets are like something you'd have at home. It is on the pricier end of things, but I enjoy this eatery and how intimate the atmosphere is.
It hasn’t got too much attention yet, but I believe it has the potential to be one of the most popular Japanese restaurants! We ordered Kaita sushi set, stir pork mentaiko (spicy cod roe), and chicken karaage. There was a “otoro” nigiri in the sushi set, which was really surprising! Also, the pork m

Seaweed salad are not as salty as I thought. Miso soup is pretty good. Eggplant tempura is delicious. The rest are just okay. Clean and friendly staff, pricey tho.
A friend of mine took me here for lunch. The tonkatsu curry was his fave dish, so I tried it as well. It was yummmmmeee. Will definitely be going back to try more of the menu offerings.
Love the food! Nice little Japanese restaurant in Japan Town! Will definitely be back! Staffs are very friendly and welcoming and helpful.
My favorite local japanese restaurant by a family owned restaurant in Japantown! Love their Dons (rice bowls), if you like salmon and roes, get their sake-Ikura Don. Fish is fresh and sushi rice is seasoned nicely. Check their Facebook for updated menus! They do specials frequently. During covid, C
Hands down the most fresh tasting sashimi I've ever had. This place is delightful, food is delicious and portions are great. If you're in the area I highly recommend it. Arrived a few minutes before opening at 5pm, soon after the place filled up. I will definitely do the 45 minute drive to come agai
