Review The Breakfast Club At Midtown - San Jose

Victor was awesome! Super friendly, approachable, and customer service oriented. This was my first time here and I wasn’t sure what to choose and Victor was very knowledgeable about the food options. I was able to pick what I wanted with confidence after a few suggestions. The fresh pressed orange juice was awesome! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a satiable breakfast with variety of options from Traditional American to Authentic Mexican breakfast. My order: Hot link scramble (extra hot link), toast substituted for French toast with strawberry glaze. Fresh pressed orange juice. NOTE: Street parking is a bit weird you have to turn around the corner to the back and there is a parking sign. The parking is public even though it looks private.

This would be my second time coming here and it’s always a good turn out. Came here on a week day and it was busy. The first time I came here on a weekend and it was packed. Ordered the chicken club which had a good size serving. Along with their Bloody Mary which they have a variety of different types mixed with different liquors. My friend ordered eggs Benedict and finished it all because it was that good. It’s a good spot to go to with friends and/or family.

Stumbled into this obviously very well know gem! Service was friendly. Atmosphere was great; music; bustling with happy talk by satisfied customers. Food was amazing! The George Scramble was crazy good! Wifey had the Farmhouse. Both loved! AND….the coffee cake!! 🤤

I’ve been here many, many times and never disappoints. Crab and shrimp omelette was so good! Real crab meat. Incredible hash browns. Also comes with toast or coffee cake! Pancake meal is a big stack of four. Reuben sandwich is massive!! And the carnitas Benedict is super hearty. It’s also quite fast and has friendly waiters. Trendy vibe decor. It gets super busy so be prepared to wait on the weekend. Parking is easy at the Safeway across the street. Pricey? Maybe a little but it’s a lot of (good) food and often have leftovers. I’d come here more but it makes me feel fat. Haha

This place is pretty awesome. I ordered the breakfast nachos w/ one of their Bloody Marys (I forget which) and I do have to say the portions you get here are pretty great. Usually I finish all my meals like a good boy, but this had me stuffed to the gills and asking for a to go box. A Bloody Mary can be hit or miss whether there's too much spice or not enough spice. This one was in that sweet spot with just enough "hey there buddy" kinda feel. A perfect indulgence if you have a hunch for a brunch. Will be back!

Excellent food. Wait times are underestimated. But food is very well worth the wait. We were very hungry and waited for 45-50 min when were told 25-30 min. But food came out soon and great. Portion size are generous. Service was nice. Drinks are great too. We got el dorado, Benedict, dollar pancake, kids burger and in drinks farm table, classic mimosa. We will be back!

We were able to get a seat quite quickly by shear luck. Normally takes a while especially on a weekend. We had the Santa Maria and the Carnitas Benedict and both were great. We'll be back to try more!

Pretty decent breakfast/brunch spot. Very busy on the weekend. We waited over an hour to seat 7 people around 11 am. Seating is a bit tight inside. We were seated behind some bar type seat right against the kitchen and bathroom. I would have preferred to sit somewhere else but it was very busy. The noise level inside is really loud. We could barely hear each other speak. Service was good, staff were friendly and looked happy to be there. Food was really good. No complaints about any dish. Drinks are strong. Parking wasn't too bad. Some parking available across the street and at the Safeway.

First eatery which suits the taste buds of we Indians in US. Ordered three portions as we were three adults outstanding I can say. The portions were generous with an average cost of about 22 $. They know so give you boxes to pack your leftovers. Will must a visit AGAIN. Limited parking on road side. Loved it. Cocktails are good and beers is also available.

Just out boppin around with my pal Walter Raleigh, and minding our own business as usual, when we run into Hippo Mary and her dark shadow Mabel Hangtree the Nantucket Nutwack. The Hippo says she'll pop for lunch if it's at the Breakfast Club at Midtown, cause they're the only place in town that gives me enough food! We agreed...providing the Nutwack eats at another table. It was settled, and we caught up with old times. I had the Turkey Club sandwich and had them make it look like a plain old Turkey sandwich, without all the extra stuff. It was amazing 5 stars! ☆☆☆☆☆

Great customer service, we ordered Korean chicken fried rice and farm omelette, the portions were generous (so were the prices :P). I liked the fried rice, not exceptional but was good however the omelette could’ve been better, the herb roasted potatoes on the side was a big pile of potatoes was not to our likings. Overall a good experience.

Today was the first time coming here, had a little early breakfast date around 8/9 am and WOW. I highly recommend this place, not only was the food amazing but the service was perfect. I recommend going during the week early morning, we ordered the Kentucky scramble and the chocolate chip pancakes with bacon. Bacon was so crispy and amazing honestly best bacon I’ve ever had, pancakes were fluffy. You can taste the quality in the food everything was delicious thank you 🥞 🥓 🍳

What an experience, this place was hopping on a Monday afternoon. There was some waiting to get in but it was well worth it our host was very friendly, her number waitress was really nice and friendly as well. This was truly a service with a smile and the food was beautiful and delicious. 👌

It was our first time. There was a big line. We got some drinks and omelet and the trio with pancake, waffle and French toast. Everything was yummy and tasted really good 😊

Delicious breakfast / brunch food. Stopped by Thanksgiving day around 11am. Wait time was 35 minutes, not too bad considering they are one of the few places open on a holiday. People came and went and tables were cleared and prepped pretty quickly. I ordered the Homemade Hash with corned beef and sunny side up eggs. Bonus side of coffee cake. Portions are HUGE, super delicious. I really wanted to eat it all but was too stuffed about 2/3 through. Leaving the coffee cake for later or tomorrow 😉 I did take a bite to sample and Yum!! Hubby got the red chilaquiles. Sampled that too and really good with right amount of spice. Kids got French toast. Even kids portion is pretty good size. Older kid got the crispy waffle with fruit (banana). She ate it all and said it was a great waffle. All that said, be prepared this is a bit pricier for brunch food... my biggest complaint $9 for 2 kids sized chocolate milks!! ?? REALLY?!! Yes food was great and we were served in good time, just watch where you up charge. Parking structure was easy to get in and out of and FREE! (Not sure if that's everyday) Music was a bit loud for an already lively bustling place. Bartender was non-stop spinning those vodka bottles. Great skills! Friendly Staff, from the server to the cleaning guys busting to wipe tables down and get them ready for the next party. GRACIAS!! Recommend when you're in the San Jose area.

First of all, the wait was ridiculous. We were told 45 minutes and it was well over an hour. It was sooooo busy, however we got our plates pretty fast. Then I began thinking that maybe the reason why they serve you fast is because they probably recycle all the unfinished food and stack on all the extra layers of sauce, guacamole, sour cream, and garnish on top, because somewhere in the middle of my food was a piece of trash! The top of a jelly Smuckers container!!!!! Sooooo disgusting!! Beware of these types of restaurants with all the hype. Places like these attract crowds but they can't handle the volume. I had a feeling something felt off because there was some kinda sauce on the hash browns as if it came from another person's plate!

Been to this place twice and the food is delicious. Great service, we were lucky to have the same waitress on the 2nd visit. Crab Benedict is to die for! Split a plate cause the portions are huge! Pricing is reasonable too for Silicon Valley standards. I really like they have self serve coffee while you wait to be seated. It’s just one of those lil things that shows great customer service.

We went there on a whim because we wanted a place that had crab omelettes since we couldn’t make it to Santa Cruz. The red velvet pancake was the deciding factor. We arrived at a very opportune time as we were only 2nd in line and within 2 minutes, we were seated at the last available table. After we were seated, the line outside became quickly swamped and we were grateful that we got in when we did. People did not mind waiting outside as this place offers free coffee and water for those waiting. Our service and the food was EXCELLENT! However, we would not go there again without having a reservation.

This place is fabulous and delicious. My friend and I had brunch and it was the perfect place for it. I ordered the classic eggs Benedict and she had country steak and eggs along with fruit and French toast (yes, we love to eat). The place was too noisy but it has fantastic service and food - loved it!

We went for a birthday brunch with a party of 6. Though the wait was too long (1 hr. 20 mins.) the atmosphere and food were great! Our server was on top of refilling coffee and water. We never had to ask for a thing. We will definitely be going back!

What a fabulous find in San Jose! It was so good we went back again the next day. Obviously, people know how good it is, as there was a line out the door both days we went. Don’t be afraid to grab a seat at the bar if they’re busy. This expedited our wait both mornings and the bar staff is super friendly. Then, you also get to see what they put into their amazingly potent mimosas! I had the corned beef hash and then the Mexican scramble, both delicious. Definitely worth a visit for your breakfast in San Jose! 🍹🍾🥂🍳🥓

I sat at the counter because I was alone and it was busy. The bartender was not very friendly but the rest of the staff was nice. The crab cakes were fantastic on my benedict. Excellent bloody mary. The second bartender Frank was very courteous and friendly and provided excelent service. I will definitely come back.

Not a good place for groups of more than 2-3 people - Hosts are pretty confused, and the place itself is too small to accommodate 4-5 people groups easily. We had to wait for around an hour. Food was decent - but nothing great, and service was below average (How else does one explain ordering chicken and waffles, and get only the chicken without the waffles!)

The food was absolutely yummy and the waitress was great. Will definitely return and recommend to friends and family.

Omg delicious breakfast that was more than worth the wait (approx. 45 mins) I enjoyed the steak juevos rancheros my son grubbed on french toast. Food was served fast and hot. I'll most definitely be back.

Good food, great drinks and awesome staff, this place is worth checking out!

It was good food, large portions, good price. Busy, busy, busy - and noisy. Be sure your server heard you correctly when ordering due to the noise volume (I ordered a classic benedict and ended up with a crab benedict because I was misheard).

The breakfast club is very well decorated and the food is good! However, we were very disappointed with the service offered by Silvia, one of the employees. She was not smiling and she was rude and impatient when she took our order. This unfortunately made our lunch unpleasant, I just wanted to leave. I understand that the job of server is difficult and having a bad day at work happens to everyone, but it's important to stay professional and courteous, which Silvia unfortunately did not do. Although I like this restaurant, this bad service received unfortunately does not give me the desire to return.

I love it!! New go to breakfast spot! Portions are huge and the food is the best quality I’ve had at a restaurant !
