Kubota Restaurant - San Jose - Photo album

I really like Japanese food so I go to a lot of Japanese restaurants so I have a lot to compare to. This place was really good in general. Nice atmosphere, looked like a lot of places in Japan from outside and in. The best dish we got was a beer short ribs with adobo sauce. The meat on that dish wa
Good Japanese restaurant if you wanna take your Japanese colleagues or costomers for business lunch/dinner. Good collection of sake and soju as well. Vegetarian choices are there but not enough for someone like me with a spicy taste.
Omg...Yes yes yes... I just moved in the neighborhood and found this little gem, I’ve been there three times in two weeks and I always sit at the bar with my friend. Kaiko (just guessing how to spell her name LOL) is the bartender/server/Hostess/does everything around there and she is awesome, the c
Best sushi restaurant in Japan town! Really fresh fish and dishes are so flavorful.
Food was a bit pricey but it was delicious. Good place to go for important occasions. It also gets packed real quick.
I would go across the street from gombai. It's still closed! Haven't been here since early '00s but always loved it. I especially loved the live lobster sashimi dance! Open again, please!
Atmosphere and service are excellent, food is okay- could be better. Good place for family gathering. Price is on the higher side.
Revisited in November 2018, sushi is much better?
One of the best japanese restaurants in San Jose. Ramen is old school shoyu flavored and really good.
A favorite for over twenty years. Perfectly prepared fish and vegetable dishes at lunch and dinner. Prices are more than reasonable and lunches are an amazing value. Specialty mixed drinks, sake, and beer, as well as excellent friendly service and a beautiful environment make this a San Jose icon.
