Review El Jardin - San Jose

Lovely place. Excellent choice for a fun night out. Love the vibe and the live orchestra. The drinks were excellent (we had a skinny margarita and a spicy margarita) and food wise, we only had nachos but were really good. We’ll be back :)

I recently dined here for dinner with my husband and some of his work colleagues. We all had a round of cocktails and shared a pitcher of Sangria. The drinks were fine and did the job of getting the conversations going. There was chips and a unique tasting salsa for the table to share. The wait staff did an excellent job of routinely coming around to check on us. (refilling waters and drinks and taking meal orders) The food was delightful and seasoned exceptionally well. My favorite was the Chicken Tinga. The restaurant/bar is open air with trees and hanging lanterns. It’s centrally located within Santana Row so it’s lively with great opportunities to hear live music and people watch. We had a nice time and definitely will be back to try other items.

Lively place in Santana Row!!! Jardín Tequila Bar in Santana Row is known for its vibrant atmosphere and extensive selection of tequilas. It offers a unique experience with a diverse menu of tequila-based cocktails and Mexican-inspired cuisine. The kitchen's last call is at 10:45PM, so it's open late. If you appreciate a lively ambiance, diverse drink options, and enjoy Mexican flavors, Jardín Tequila Bar could be a great spot for you to explore in Santana Row.

The service can be a little hard at times (tonight was great!) but overall, it's a delicious place, with strong, tasty drinks. Tonight, we got the papas fritas con asada and gordita de chicharron between the two of us and it was more than enough. Before we got the quesabirria and nachos jardin, and that was also enough for us two. We tend to when it is less busy, like weekdays (when you can get the quesabirria), it can just way too busy on weekends.

We came for drinks with our friends on Saturday night. Loved the ambience! They didn’t allow to make reservations and it was first come first served (maybe you can book a table the night before, but not on the same day). The staff was super friendly and helpful. We’ve got Papas Fritas con Carne Asada, guacamole and drinks. I enjoyed my margarita! Although the place doesn’t have Ladies’ room, but there is a public one around the corner.

Long time since we have been back to Santana Row, and we were so happy we made it here. The guacamole went so fast that the only photo I could get was of the empty bowl. We followed that with the Nachos one beef and one chicken For our main course, we had the special, Jardin Platter with food to share for 4. Some of us had tacos to add to the platter. Great outdoor atmosphere heaters all around, service was just right in this extremely busy restaurant. Great Spanish music and fun place.

El Jardin is the mexican Tequila bar located in the middle of Santana Row at the most back part of the row. It has good vibes and good love music that might be a little too loud if you’re tryna have a conversation but its a nice atmosphere if you are into the music. Drinks are really strong and pretty good. Service is okay, our waitress only came by 3 times for the whole 2 hours so wasn’t the most attentive tbh. Parking is easy everywhere and free. Would recommend any margarita for drinks and the nachos

Pretty vibey spot, especially for shareable items. The atmosphere and ambience were good, and the DJ they had that night was phenomenal. Great music selection and smooth song transitions, felt like it was a club. Food and drinks itself were decent. We got the Dip Mexicano, which had imported Tostitos chips and house-dip. the dip could have used pickled jalapenos instead of raw, but in combination with cheese and beans tasted good. We also got the Nachos Jardin which paired really well with the Papas Fritas con Asada (we got it without carne asada). For drinks, I definitely say try the Don Quixote for a spicy and flavorful cocktail. The Churro for dessert is also a must-try.

Great place for drinks or dinner. There is live music ( I’m not sure the exact days, but it’s there when we stop by on the weekends). P.S. Those that do not drink alcohol can check out their non-alcoholic menu with an abundance of options.

I had the pleasure of dining at a Mexican restaurant yesterday, and I must say that it was an absolutely incredible experience! From start to finish, the food and service were both outstanding. First, let's talk about the food. Everything we ordered was simply delicious. The appetizers were a perfect start to our meal, with the guacamole being a particular highlight - it was creamy, flavorful, and had just the right amount of spice. For our main courses, we tried a variety of dishes and each one was better than the last. The tacos were bursting with flavor and the fajitas were sizzling and perfectly seasoned. We also ordered a side of rice and beans, which were some of the best I've ever had. Overall, the food was excellent and definitely exceeded our expectations. But it wasn't just the food that made our dining experience so wonderful. The service we received was equally impressive. Our server was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. She made great recommendations and was always there to refill our drinks or answer any questions we had. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also very pleasant - it was lively but not too loud, and the decor was colorful and fun. Overall, I can't recommend this Mexican restaurant enough. The food was exceptional and the service was top-notch. If you're looking for a great dining experience, this is definitely the place to go! Five stars all around. (Got the tin with the French fries and it was amazing) see my picture. Best tin on the menu!!!

Great vibes with live music made our night out fabulous. What else can be better than fresh Margaritas and finger food to share while you are having a good laugh with friends? It was pricey but what isn’t expensive these days. Other than that highly recommended

I love the vibe of this place. Beautiful lighting and amazing energy with the live music and beautiful location and outside seating. I liked their cocktails and their nachos are nice. Their tacos are also decent.

El Jardin deserves a solid four-star rating for its vibrant atmosphere and flavorful Mexican cuisine. The restaurant boasts a lively and festive ambiance, perfect for gathering with friends or enjoying a flavorful meal with loved ones. The menu features a variety of traditional Mexican dishes, each bursting with authentic flavors and carefully crafted with quality ingredients. From the sizzling fajitas to the mouthwatering enchiladas, the flavors are bold and satisfying. The service is friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. However, there are a few areas for improvement. The portion sizes can be a bit inconsistent, with some dishes being more generous than others. Additionally, the prices are slightly on the higher side, which may make it less accessible for some diners. Despite these minor setbacks, El Jardin remains a fantastic choice for those seeking a lively and flavorful Mexican dining experience.

Excellent night with great charm. Location is prime for this bar and beautiful Santana row acts as a picturesque background. December is a great time to enjoy a drink of your choice and you can't go wrong. Facilities are clean and service was greatly appreciated. Perfect place for a night out or spending the afternoon with friends.
