Teske's Germania - San Jose - Photo album

Service was great, as staff was very friendly. Mushroom sauce in the schnitzel was amazing. Good selection of sausages in the appetizer. Will definitely dine here again. Atmosphere became more festive the longer we stayed. We opted to eat inside but they had a live band out back.
For a person who is vegetarian and doesn't like beer, I can highly recommend this place (and I will be back). Despite the few options for a vegetarian, you will not miss the food, nor will you leave hungry. In addition to that, there is a wide variety of liquors for your palate. The service is great
One of my favorite places in the Bay Area. Great family-owned business. My food is always tremendous. The small bar area by the entrance is warm and inviting. The patio is fantastic when the weather turns warm. May wonderful visits over the past 23 years!
This place is a hidden gem for anyone who loves German food/beer. The beer list is fantastic with some great ones on draft to enjoy in .5L or 1L. I sat at the small, perfectly kitschy bar with some regulars and the owner manning the taps. The small plate of boar sausages was tasty. They have a bigge
Went for Friday night dinner & enjoyed everything we ordered. About 1.5 ltrs of beers, followed by a sausage platter & sauerbraten with pickled red cabbage, sauerkraut & potatoes salad sides. Was a bit pricey ($40+ pp) with the amount of food ordered, but loved the diverse menu, so had to. Wonderful
Quite literally walking into Germany here. When we visited Germany, you got these vibes of traditional German both cuisine and overall decor and service, I will attest to that. Munchen I see you! Awesome waitress too, thank you from Canada! Try the schnitzel and sausage (and more).
Probably the best German restaurant in the South Bay. Food is almost always very good. Tonight the schnitzel was a little over done and chewy. The goulash was fantastic and the Octoberfest plate was good. I love the Bavarian lodge feel and enjoy the beer bar. Service was and is top notch.
Good choice if food and beer. Pork hog was perfect, but pretzels overcooked. Dog friendly (patio).
Authentic Germany restaurants with Germany craft beer and delicious pork leg. We order the sausage plate for appetizer and two entrees with veal and pork leg. Sausages are pretty tasty but could have better presentation. Veal is magnificent, bone-in soft and tender well done. However the potato dump
We had the sausage combination appetizer, then I had Wiener Schnitzel with potato salad and my partner had Goulash as main dishes. Then we both had the house made Bienenstich cake. Everything was delicious. Waitresses were very kind. We didn’t try any of the beers but we’ll come back for that.
4.5 stars for atmosphere. These guys put on a great October Fest celebration.
Great place for German food in downtown San Jose. Indoor decor and staff are also welcoming.
Loved it! The food was savory and the atmosphere was fantastic. I brought my son and daughter and they throughly enjoyed the live band with lots of sing-a-long songs and couples dancing outside. We ordered the pork belly with the fruit compote - a must have appetizer, buffalo meatloaf, two other dis
Dunno why Google thinks this is a hotel. It's a German restaurant. Good good and beer.
We held a large event in their courtyard in May 2023. The owners Greg and Scott are so nice and easy to work with, the event planning was a breeze! Day of the event everything was perfect, including the weather. Food was fabulous and drinks were flowing. We are still getting compliments from our gue
We celebrated a birthday and had a fantastic evening. The food was great and our waitress made sure we were all well cared for and had plenty to eat. Our mom has alzheimers and lives far from us. Our waitress was like a mom to us making sure everyone was happy. It was so sweet and generous of her. I
We've come a couple times, and Teske's is a great place for some German food in San Jose! We went on Valentine's, and it was very busy! The staff had their hands full but were very gracious. We got the sausage combination platter. I used to be better at knowing types of Wurst, but there were 4 kinds
Scott was our waiter and it was the best dinner we’ve had in a long time! Didn’t take pictures of dinner but we definitely will be back!
Fun environment for October fest. We come here every year. Wonderful music and beautiful decorations. The food is ok, not the best cause it s too high calories
