I normally come in on a Wednesday to get their Slow Cooked Brown Stew Chicken, but today was Thursday so ended up ordering the Coconut Curry Shrimp With Vegetables. The shrimp was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of chew, the vegetables were crunchy and fresh, and the coconut curry was th
Like that this place is a fast casual place. They have hot sauce for you to sample was your super delicious. All the stuff for super friendly they keep the place neat and tidy. Portion size was a little bit smaller than expected but not too small. I didn't really like the mac and cheese. But their m
Great local Caribbean bbq place. Super friendly staff. The salmon was awesome. The chicken was pretty dry. Like hard to eat because there was no moisture left at all. The rice/beans were super tasty. The only thing that was kind of odd was when one of the workers started putting chairs up on the tab
Simply amazing. I first learned of this place from the jerk turkeys they do for Thanksgiving. A family friend brought it for the holiday once and ever since tasting that I knew I needed more. I've always been a fan of jerk chicken and I am so happy to have found a place that does it well. Came earl
Great (mostly) self-served BBQ place! Fast service & delicious food!!! It is packed at the dinner time even the turnover was pretty fast!!! Personally, I really love their jerk salmon and ox tails!!! Their plantains are very yummy too!!! Highly recommend it!!!
I really enjoyed this place. It's walking distance from the courthouse, which was really convenient. I ordered the curried goat. The meat fell off the bone and there's a lingering heat to it that I liked. I wish there had been a bit more rice in it because there was a lot of curry, and lots of piece
I'm having jerk chicken (comes dark) Yummy. A bit of spice (leave you lips tingling) such great savory flavor and very authentic. The staff will not baby you so if looking for TLC maybe go another place. The rice and beans are excellent and plantains sweet and fixed just right. Carmel crisp and deli
The interior was fun with reggae music and art on the wall and tables. They have a great selection of Jamaican soda and beer. I had the non-alcoholic malt soda and it was tasty and unique. I had the rice and beans, plantains and jerk chicken combo. The plantains were good. The rice and beans was go
The food here was absolutely delicious and the selection of beers was awesome. Also the decor including the island flags on every table was great. However, I do wish the portion sizes were a bit larger considering the price of the dishes but I guess that's to be expected in downtown San Jose.
Finally, last Saturday I tried this place and it was better than I expected! One word: Flavorful (in every single bite). I was a bit worried about the "digestion effect" (in case the food/seasoning was too heavy) but I didn't have any discomfort. I had Jerk tofu (comes with rice & beans and fried p
Officially the new spot. Bowls, plates, salads, sandwiches, combos, beer, SANGRIA! Where has this place been all my life?!?! 😍😍😍 delicious, authentic Caribbean cuisine. Friendly, thoughtful staff. Eat in! It’s diverse customer base makes for great people watching and nice vibes.
The oxtail was tasty but a bit boring. Coulda had a bit more spiciness. Very home cooked stew type of dish. All the fish dishes feature fried fish which maybe a put off for some. The staff were friendly and delivered the plates to the table.
My family's favorite Jamaican restaurant in Silicon Valley. We were pleasantly surprised to find that has added a second location with seating. Last time I got the curry tofu and vegetable plate with a side of festival bread. It was spicy and flavorful.
Jamaican food is great. Had to get some of their BBQ sauce to take with me for a cookout to wow the taste buds of some friends of mine. When in San Jose you gotta stop here at least once!
Their BBQ pork ribs are fenomenal! Then their jerk options are delicious. If you're in for a drink, their sangria is a good companion. Won't regret if you pay them a visit.
An excellent spot for some jerk chicken. I ordered the classic, on the bone, with a pineapple guava juice. The flavor just smacks you right in the face as soon as you bite into it! Excellent quality for value and plenty of food to fill you up. Definitely give this place a try!
