Review Whole Foods Market - San Jose

We are here a lot....Outstanding. Staff is, as a rule, very helpful. The Produce section is our first stop - never fails to impress...we are big fans. The Store is well organized and has everything we love. The sweet lady in the Cheese Dept is always v helpful and smart. Check our Clerks - always polite and very efficient. Good Parking lot, too!

One of the best vibe'd Whole Foods I've visited. Really nice and not crowded

Fantastic selection of vibrant fresh vegetables and fruits! A pleasant change from the regular chain supermarkets in San Jose - there is everything here from fresh fruit to fully prepared meals. All of which look and smell amazing! There is a focus on healthy foods here, so there isn’t a lot of the standard brands (which is a good thing in my book!), so it’s a little more expensive as a result. The produce seems much better though as a result so I think it’s worth it.

Giving this whole foods five stars based on the awesomeness of the brewery and juice/coffee bar attached! Upstairs open area with a cool bar, yummy appetizers and a view over the Alameda with its pretty tree lined shops. Also love the meat selection here, pasture raised and reasonably priced. Parking is plentiful. EV parking too.

I don't ever spend a great deal of time at this Whole Foods location because it's outside my neighborhood. I tend to visit every once in a while because it's on the same street as another business I frequent. My overall impression is, it seems so much smaller than the locations I'm accustomed to - certainly a great deal smaller than the new Sunnyvale spot. It's well kept, things look fresh, and the staff are great. I just feel a tad bit claustrophobic in here, and I have a hard time finding the things I'm accustomed to shopping for here. Some of the items they simply don't carry. The one thing they haven't skimped on, however, is booze. I may be misjudging, but I think they have double the selection of stores twice their size.

Steve the barrista is awesome! He makes great coffee, always is ready with friendly, genuine banter, efficiently helps customers! He also sets boundaries for some rude customers, and the many homeless people that wander in, which is something that I appreciate! And he shows up so that the coffee bar is open! The rest of the store is very nice, if a bit small. But it’s a great location within walking distance of home!

Whole Foods all natural food. A little pricey but all well worth it. Star is clean and always face front perfectly. Merchandiser are outstanding on making the store look great

Whole Foods in general, always has some of the best fresh produce and seafood, and the best cuts of meat and poultry. There's always a fantastic variety of items available. This location holds up to the standard I expect when going to Whole Foods. Staff are friendly and helpful. Displays are not overcrowded or in the way of customers pathways. Isles are not narrow or over crowded. There are always great items in the grab and go cases and the buffet style/food service counter areas. Parking lot is a good size but it can get very busy so, be mindful of what time you are going. Weekday lunchtime is super busy.

A nice selection of hot soups and freshly prepared ready to eat foods, fresh juices and fruit salads. With patio tables and Floodcraft brewing it is an ideal place to hang out with my student son. Our favorite is the clam chowder soup. Sadly it does not offer hot drinks. It's a beautiful store, clean, with eco conscious products. Beware the prices of some items that can be a little pricier. My last experience however was tainted by an over zealous security guard embarrassing me over the tannoy to inform me, and every other person in the area, twice! that the premises are continuously monitored. My sin was using the restrooms and heading back to the car to get my dog before buying lunch.

Best part is their staff, always enjoy having a little chat with my favorite employees. Great butcher shop, noticibly short staffed. Don't mind waiting a couple of minutes, just wish they'd have a selection of Hispanic products such as tortillas. Just cuz the majority of items are organic doesn't mean they taste good, love their return policy. Satisfaction Guaranteed 🤓

Update: I have returned to this location several times and have had a much more positive experience with the store and products purchased. The fresh scallops I recently purchased and strawberries were very good. The staff remain very helpful and friendly. Parking is easy and when it gets busy they quickly open additional registers. I also like that they have an Amazon Return counter at the location. I am changing my review from one star to 4 stars. Just moved to the area and this was my first time in the store. The store is clean and the staff are very friendly. I am extremely disappointed in the produce. The avocado we chose looked fine but had several deep dark spots that had to be cut out and the raspberries were mushy. The ones on top looked fine, but below total mush. Makes me wonder if they are keeping produce longer than they should. I recently got significantly better quality organic produce at local Grocery Outlet that was considerably cheaper. I was also disappointed with the prepared food selection, so few options. I think another reviewer commented on this. I expect more of Whole Foods, not sure when we'll be back again. Interestingly someone replied to my review and asked that I go to a whole foods URL. WHen I got there I had few options to share my feedback except to call and "chat". The chat was a complete joke. The person or computer responding made no sense. I'll post the snip below. Even more disappointed with you Whole Foods and not allowing you to take up any more of my time. Changing review from 2 stars to 1 star because of this debacle.
