What an oasis in the city. A little hard to find, true, but totally worth the search.
El Tonayense had fish(massive strips) and lobster(equally massive) today. I did two fish and a lobster. Came out to about 12 bucks, so these aren't the cheapest by far. They are large and of course, incredibly delicious.

Still fantastic. Carnitas and Al Pastor are the 2 to get. If you order spicy, you will get delicious pickled vegetables and jalapenos. 😀

This spot is clean and has amazing $1 taco happy hour deals from 2-5PM Mon-Fri. The chicken and carne asada was a little dry, but the the lengua is a MUST! It's incredibly soft and full of flavor. This was my first visit and I will definitely come back!

I got there by 8:50pm the told we’re closing by 9, I told it’s 8:50 I’m so hungry can yo please give 2 taco which was $2 dollars each but recently the change the price to $3 each taco when I showed them the money they didn’t even count the money the Leddy was so rude.

Pretty delicious. Our first time here and it wasn't even packed like I thought it would be. Tacos caseros... And he's generous with the shrimp and fish on each taco. The cabbage and Pico de gallo dress it up pretty nice along with the sour cream and salsa.

Some of the best in the city. Have yet to try their burritos and quesadillas I’ve heard people boast about but the tacos brought me right back home (from Los Angeles) the lengua is superior to any I’ve had in the city and everything is fresh, packed with toppings, and affordable. Next to the Best Buy parking lot so I just park right there and foods always done in 5 minutes. There’s love in the prep of the meat too. A local favourite.
