Catering is trendy/casual and the service is good. I always end up getting the same plate here: Enchilada con Entrant medium rare, because that's the ONLY way to eat it.

I am gluten free so my options are limited here. I got the lentil salad from the cold case. It was decently priced, under $5. The flavor was very mellow and the serving size was perfect for lunch. However the lentils were a bit on the al dente side for me.

Wow! What a gem of a lunch spot. Visited after a doctor's appointment at UCSF and treated myself to two delicious hand pies. The classic chicken was delicious, the texture and veggie mixture was excellent. The garbanzo bean and curry pie was unique, light and full of flavor.
Had to resist the temptation of trying a sweet pie as well, but I bet they're good! They had vegan options for savory pies and gluten free options for sweet.

My favorite place to eat when I visit UCSF. I have always loved the combination of pastry with meat and vegetable filling. Peasant Pies has a delicious variety that aren't overly filling. The dining area is large and comfortable.

Delicious! I tried the chicken pie, zucchini and mushroom and the pear crumble. They were all so good! Go with someone else so you can just have a bite if each!
