Torraku Ramen

We went gate for dinner. It’s a nice restaurant with great vegan and vegetarian options. I had the vegetarian ramen which was a must based ramen with soft Boiled egg. I chose the bean sprouts, mushrooms as the toppings. My friend chose the tonkotsu ramen. Both the ramen were really great. It was mild spicy where we could taste the flavor of the actual ingredients. We also ordered the tempura platter and the pink gyoza. The appetizers were really good as well. The tempura batter was really light and the combination with the soy sauce was really good. Overall it was really good culinary experience.

My son loved the broth he raved about it the entire meal, but that was about it everything else was just okay. We both got the tonkatsu ramen his was no spice and I had medium. I found the broth to be a bit salty and more of a miso base then bone broth. Also note to have a vaccination card on hand if you want to stay and eat in.

**VEGAN OPTIONS** Found this place on DoorDash and I wasn't disappointed! I recommend trying if you're in the neighbourhood. Got 1 Veggie Ramen No Egg, 1 Miso Vegan Ramen, and Edamame-- all vegan, of course. The Miso Vegan Ramen was our favourite, delicious broth and vegan meat. The Veggie Ramen No Egg was also nice, you choose your own veg. Also you can choose your spice level for both dishes. The Edamame was lovely too! If you are getting it for Take Away or Delivery, I suggest reheating the broth when it arrives, before adding the noodles and veg. HOT ramen is best :) And now I learn there is an entire art to eating Ramen, one I've not yet mastered. I need more practice ;)
