Shabu House

This place is awesome! We didn't need to get the "all you can eat" option for my girlfriend and I. We got a large beef and a regular lamb plate. The spicy miso soup base was fantastic (not so spicy)... Better than the ginger chicken in my opinion, but both were good. We got there right before the 7pm rush on a Friday night, and waited about 10 minutes for a table. Highly recommended!! (and macro friendly)

Pretty good Shabu Shabu! We came on a Wednesday night and fortunately had reservations because it was packed and pretty busy by the time we were finishing up. They have a limited menu for soup choices, vegetables and meat choices. But everything is good. The broth was super tasty, spicy being my favorite. Service is good. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food you are getting. Street parking.

The food was good. The spicy miso broth was very tasty. Kobe beef and pork were thinly cut and easy to cook. Lots of veggies in the combo meal. What knocked off 3 stars from this review was the wait staff. The taller girl was very nice and attentive. The smaller girl seemed to be extremely angry when we walked in. She sat us and took half my order walking away while I was talking to her. I flagged her down and ordered a beer which she promptly returned and slammed it onto my table. We had to ask for a second glass because she didn't wait to hear we both wanted beer. She then explained to us the menu choices in a rapid and patronizing voice. On top of this bad service they charged us an automatic 15%. To that waitress, I don't know what got you so angry tonight but don't take it out on your customers, especially first time customers. Because of her service and our experience, we will not repeat service at this restaurant.

Service is reasonably good. The broths are not as flavorful. The veggies that came with the sliced meats were good, except the Napa cabbage: they left pieces of ends of the stalks where there were many dark, black spots and patches 🙈 why not just give me less cabbage but make sure they’re appetizing? I didn’t enjoy the dipping sauces either. The vinegary soy sauce tasted of cheap vinegar and the sesame one tasted strangely alcoholic?
