Very friendly staff, clean and pretty fast service. It was a little dark in there, but overall a nice environment. Food was good, not an "all you can eat"

This place is a new authentic Japanese restaurant in San Francisco. I went to the place around 9 pm on Saturday and I was able to park right in front of the restaurant. It was a very relaxing atmosphere inside and I took a counter seat. The manager was very friendly and fun to talk with. Both chefs were pretty nice too. The food were amazing. They have a good selection of sake and wine.I would definitely come back again.

We love Sushi Raw. It offers a comprehensive selection of Japanese food besides the good sushi. The ramen is very good. The sushi is as good as any other affordable sushi joint. It's not amazing, fresh, briny, and magical, but it's not $100 a person either.

The food here is excellent. They have very many creative vegan options including sweet potato! They usually have the tuna belly which is fantastic. They always come to refill the hot tea. The hot summer roll is AMAZING! I can't stay away from this place because of this. Even when I come in right before they close at 10:30pm and order, the staff is always very friendly. The chefs are also very nice and happy to answer questions.

Years ago I stumbled into this place when I was having low sugar levels. The staff was amazing brought me tea and some soy beans to nibble on while my head stopped spinning. They invited me to stay for lunch and I am glad I did. I ordered a simple meal and the sushi chef said I looked hungry and and brought over some sushi rolls he wanted me to try on the house. The staff was very sweet and I highly recommend this place.

A nice local place to get some Sushi. They are friendly and always greet you on the way in—and on the way out. The typical rolls are here as in other SF sushi places like the rainbow roll and lover’s roll. If I want to go paleo, I’ll get their lobster roll wrapped in cucumber (instead of rice). Sit at the bar to watch the chefs and enjoy a hard mint candy with your check.

I've had sushi at so many different places in San Francisco and around the world (South Africa, Mexico, Costa Rica) and still Sushi Raw is my favorite. The quality of the fish, the many choices in different rolls and the quick and friendly service all converge to make my dining experience here a winner every single time!

Good, local sushi shop in the Lower Haight. Great specials and unique signature rolls. Worth checking out their Happy Hour for delicious sushi that won't break the bank.

This place is a favorite. We love the deep fried spicy tuna roll. 🍣 We also order the garlic edemame (our favorite). We order a lovers roll, 49-ers, and often get the specials. 🐠🎏 The presentation is always fun and it's rare for there to be a wait. The tea and miso isn't anything special. But the happy hour is fun. I love this neighborhood place and come here often!!

A good selection of food, and a good Happy Hour offer with nice sushi rolls at a discount and very affordable beers. Recommended for an early dinner with friends. They also offer take out.

On a street known for its awesome, funky bars, sits a ramen and sushi haven ready to warm your belly or pour giant bottles of Japanese beer down your gullet. I loved the Red Dragon roll (spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, avocado) for its wonderful textures and well-paired flavors and sank heavenly into by huge bowl of tonkatsu ramen, prepared perfectly. The staff was efficient, while not overly friendly, and the decor was spartan. A definite return destination for me (especially with its proximity to such great nightlife spots.)

Pretty good. Best affordable sushi within walking distance from the haight. Highly recommend it if you're looking for a "deep fried" style roll.

Overall good sushi in lower Haight. Sometimes device can be inconsistent but decent value for the sushi and combinations. The ramen bowl was surprisingly hearty.
