Tom is so very friendly, kind, and sweet! You can tell he loves the shop and his customers. I saw this on IG and was finally able to stop by with my friend. I love it's a lot of quantity and you can get 2 flavors for a cup/cone. Cash only and there may be a small wait. I'd love to come back for the
Got ice cream here today and it was absolutely fantastic, amazing prices especially for the quantity you get. The owner was super sweet and really pleasant to chitchat with while we looked at the flavor options. Would highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area.
Adorable ice cream parlor, worth the walk from Japan Town. Tom was very friendly and the prices were great. The Ube was delicious. ^_^
Love this place. The owner is such a great guy. Sandwich beat others that are 3-4x the price. Highly recommend.
very good sundae! while it’s not gourmet level ice cream, it’s still very tasty and generous ice cream paired with generous toppings. Tom was also very friendly! note: cash only
Can you believe that you can get this warm turkey sandwich along with crispy tortilla chips and thick mac salad for 4 dollars? Seeing the owner worked on the sandwich by himself diligently, I feel like an honor to eat here. He thanked me many times for ordering a sandwich. I wish I could have more t
Best old fashioned ice cream shop, it’s a gem! It has the flavor we wanted which is hard to find, lucuma! The owner Tom is very nice, hardworking, and welcoming. The portion of ice cream is the largest I ever got in any ice cream places for a very reasonable price. I will definitely come back here i
I love coming here for ice cream and food to support Tom. Everything is sooo affordable and portions are huge. There’s a large selection of ice cream and candy. Tom is one of the kindest, sweetest people I’ve ever met. He’s so appreciative and grateful of any tip you can leave, and he really wor
The owner was so kind and I was so happy with my purchase! The store uses a mix Mitchell's and Dreyer's ice cream and has a great variety of flavors! I had a sundae which was a whopping 5 dollars!! Included two scoops, whip cream, your sauce of choice, nuts and sprinkles. If you're in the Fillmore a
Fantastic, old school ice cream shop. Tom the owner is really nice, and works 7 days a week!
There aren’t many places like Miyako’s left. The whole shop can’t be more than 50 square feet and it’s packed with decor, signs and food. I got a scoop of green tea ice cream in a waffle cone and the man working the counter couldn’t have been nicer. The ice cream was light, creamy and delicious. If
Great food, great ice cream, generous portions fantastic portions and the owner/operator Tom is the sweetest person. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the Japan Town or Fillmore area.
For all this I paid 4.25, and that includes the tax. A place like this with delicious food, incredible prices, and excellent service is a godsend.
Stopped in today and it was a great experience. Tom was so kind and working hard for all the customers in line. We loved our hot dogs and shakes and they really are unbeatable prices. We will be coming back!! 🫶
Pretty standard quality ice cream but love the variety of flavors! We got ube and butter pecan and both were perfectly fluffy and not too sweet. Super affordable as well! Bonus points for the sweet old man working at the shop.
100% recommend stopping here. The sandwiches were delicious and an absolute steal for $4 (with potato salad and chips). Tom is a real gent and I hope the shop remains open for a long time to come
A visit to this place is totally delightful - it's like taking a step back in time with ice cream, candies and service just like the good old days. Tom the owner is as sweet as the ice cream he scoops and is happy to let you sample. The candies and ice cream flavours on offer are mind bogglingly goo
Love this small neighborhood Ice Cream/Candy shop that's been around since I was a Teen 👍. With so many things in the neighborhood changing, it's refreshing to see this establishment still thriving. Everyone should be supporting, any pulling for long-time local businesses such as this cuz they are r
