Izumiya Restaurant - San Francisco - Photo album

Really tasty! Really pricey. Cute little spot with great atmosphere. You can sit at a quiet counter by yourself if you like. The okonomiyaki are really tasty and can really help revive you on a cold SF winter day. For the price ($20-30 per person), paper cups and paper plates are a little disappoint
Pros: we were able to get a seat within a couple minutes, they had a vegetarian friendly (no fish flakes either) option in the Vegetable Okonomiyaki (also can make it eggless if desired) Cons: our order (2 dishes total) took almost an hour to prepare and we had to pay/tip first, leaving us very hun
I love the okonomiyaki at this place. I’ve had both the traditional and the modern and I’d say the modern is worth it and it’s really quite heavy. It’s closest to the original stuff I had in Japan!
One of the few places you can get okonomiyaki, and it's quite good. The other appetizers and bento box type foods are above average. I would recommend coming here for a quick lunch before a movie, or if you want something a little more casual. It's never that crowded and service is typically good!
Take out on 3/18/2021. Izumiya is an authentic Japanese person owned restaurant offering casual 食堂 dining. We used to come here as a "safe bet" restaurant back in the day when we were still watching movies at the AMC. Things have certainly changed since then. The menu hasn't changed much though. The
Very friendly waiter.. I tried the original okonomiyaki with chicken and cheese.. I was happy to eat okonomiyaki again after such a long time.. The Gyozas and the Nigori Mango are good as well
I spent 2 weeks in Japan and ate Ramen almost twice a day. Their ramen was very good. Best I've had in San Francisco so far. You're cooking is truly an art form, thank you.
This place does it all, and well! The only place I've seen with organic Boba, caring about the quality of their tea ingredients. And then alone a full blown restaurant serving almost all Japanese dishes. They have amazing takoyaki, super tasty. And oh man, the okonomi yaki is as good as what I had i
Great place. Went twice and took the agedashi tofu ramen, it was really good and tasty.
Delicious okonomiyaki and many options at that! Reasonable prices and excellent, friendly service. Would definitely come back here again.
Amazing food. Pretty cheap. Get the okonomiyaki or the 'modern yaki', which is twice the food for $2 extra. Very good, quick service. Definitely will come back here, because there's lots to try and everything I've tried so far was delicious.
All the food we tried were delicious: okonomiyaki, curry rice, donburi, etc. Very reasonable pricing. The service is good also.
