True Laurel

We had the best time here tonight. Unfortunately some plans at a nearby bar fell through at the last second, and our group of 8 people didn't have a reservation. The wait staff quickly accommodated us, despite it being a busy night. Our waitress was so patient and attentive. Really impressed at the service, and so grateful for their help.

Love this place!!! They have one of the best cocktails in the city. I’m not a big drinker but True Laurel will always be in my book for creative and non traditional drinks. The food is always great every time and I come here quite often. Come here early if you dine indoors and prefer a lower noise level. Dine outdoors if the weather is lovely. Sit at the bar if you intend to drink a lot. I always get the bar nuts which has crispy kale and lemon zest (a must!). I wish they sold it in bigger quantities. Their crispy mushroom is another go to dish. Overall, wonderful to have in the neighborhood. I can’t wait for my next visit.

Amazing drinks, really creative with lotsa depth and dimension. I say this as a cocktail enthusiast and someone who's taken a few mixology clssss- the cocktails here are superb! Food was just as delicious. My only complaint is that the area we got seated at ny the bar was very close to the edge of the bar where the cleaning rags were so the table smelled like a dirty rag. not a big deal, just something I hope management improves upon. Good experience overall and I would come back. Edit: went back to try their brunch today at July 31, ordered the pancakes and was wildly disappointed as it turned out to be a wet buttery mess swimming in maple syrup. Would not recommend the brunch here sadly

Cocktails cocktails cocktails. Go here for the cocktails. My favorite is In the pines, under the palms. It literally tastes like a redwood forest. I’ve tried a few and they are all really high quality. I didn’t love the TL patty melt since it felt a bit small and had poor presentation for the price but I have tried other appetizers here that were very good and well presented. I thought the staff here with exceptional and I loved the space. The location makes it a lovely gem in the mission that I’d recommend to anyone looking to grab drinks and a small bite.
