If you’d like to try an English afternoon tea Sip Tea Room is absolutely perfect. The delicately made sandwiches and scones are freshly made and delicious. The scones are served with homemade jam and clotted cream. The fresh brew of tea comes in a decent sized pot with real tea leaves (as opposed to tea bags) and you’re able to enjoy more that one cup, if you wish. Also the staff are cheerful and give prompt service. I’m definitly going to be a regular visitor. I can’t wait to introduce this tea room to my friends.

Wonderful new tea room in the Inner Sunset across from the park. Great teas and sandwiches. Nice place for a break or celebrations.
A cute and quirky place for afternoon tea right next to Golden Gate Park.
We had their full Traditional Afternoon Tea Experience. Their sausage rolls were my favourite - little morsels of deliciousness. The sandwiches were alright. They were a bit too thin and slightly on the dry side. I loved their lemon curd though.
For my tea selection, I had the Blue Malva Flower Earl Grey. A nice Earl Grey that’s floral forward.
The parking situation can be a problem, especially on the weekends so give yourself extra time. We ended up parking at the parking garage inside of Golden Gate Park, which has its own traffic issues but that’s another tale. It’s a great day out to have afternoon tea and visit the museums though!
Wonderful afternoon tea experience right next to Golden Gate park! The only downside is parking, which is nonexistent on weekends. I had reserved a 1pm seating on a Saturday. You do have to pay in full ahead of time, including tip, which I'm generally not a fan of tipping prior to receiving any service. We arrived 30 minutes late as we spent 25 mins looking for parking and 15 mins walking over. Luckily the staff were accommodating and allowed us to stay until closing rather than rushing us out the door after our 1.5 hour seating time was up.
After selecting our teas, china rose petal and green jasmine, they set out a plate of delicious baked sausage rolls. We were then served the 3 tier tray, which includes 4 sandwiches, small salad, a traditional and coconut scone with lemon curd, clotted cream, and jam, and a dessert tray 3 small treats and fresh fruit.
The scones were the highlight! Light, flaky, and perfect with the lemon curd and clotted cream. Their Hawaiian sandwich was a surprise as well along with the parfait dessert. We unfortunately weren't fans of the cookie, which was quite dry.
I really enjoyed eating here. Reservation is highly recommended if you want to dine outside (FYI you have to pay for the food in advance if you reserve online). Food was fantastic! I had a mango kind scone and a different flavored one that I can't remember. The sausage pastry was great and the sandwiches were filling. They provide togo containers for any food you don't eat. Great experience.
If you need gluten-free, message the owner before your visit so she can meet your needs.
The sandwiches were creative, but I was left missing some of the more traditional flavors.. The scones were delightful, as well as the jam. I do wish we could have wrapped up our meal with some petit fours. I also wish they offered hot chocolate for the littles.
We bought a little honey pot, which was the cutest.
The owner seemed a bit standoffish and not very warm, although she seemed to warm up a bit after I complimented her tea room.
Parking is super problematic, so Lyft there.
A lovely English tea experience. We walked in and are seated quickly. They have really great black tea - like the “Tea Blend” and terrific scones with the right amount of cream, jam and lemon curd. They also told you the difference between the Cornwall vs Devon style of eating scones! They have a small garden at the back (4 tables).
Reasonably priced, cozy ambiance, and very friendly service. I love that they look out onto the Golden Gate Park, too.
Splendid staff! food is delectable and the whole restaurant has a warm and welcoming feel to it. You pay a flat fee per person when booking so it makes everything smooth when you enter the place. It’s an entire experience, and I would do it again in a heartbeat!
Took my mom here for Mother’s Day - it was a lovely experience! We were greeted with a welcome glass of Prosecco, and they had a pianist playing live music for brunch! The tea service started with sausage rolls, which were my favorite. It was followed by the tower of tea goodies - the sandwiches were very good with a variety of flavors. The scones were also very fresh and had good flavor. The desserts were not quite as impressive, but we were full by the time we reached the top! There was a nice selection of teas, and the pots + china they have were darling. The service here is the best - so welcoming and hospitable! My mom even received a bag of tea as a gift on our way out. Definitely great for a mom or gals date!
We enjoyed our tea experience very much! We tried two different teas, both of which were delicious. The food was very good, though my favorites were the sausage rolls and the scones. The decor was delightful and the patio was very charming. Make sure to bring your jacket for the chilly Sunset weather!
Tea time at Sip Team Room is comfortable. Although it's on a busy street, it's nice and quiet inside. The whole place is clean and full of natural light; outdoor seating is also available.
I commend the chef for her creativity. The special menu on the board changes regularly and offers pleasant surprises. I have to say that comparing to other tea rooms, Sip has the best sweets--good variety and with just the right amount of sweetness. The tea selection is good. The scones and the sandwiches are okay, nothing impressive. The sausage roll, however, is heavenly--highly recommended!
Reservation might be a good idea on the weekend and during lunch time. Parking can be a bit challenging in the neighborhood.
Adorable little teahouse near Golden Gate Park. Wonderful tea with daughter and baby. Very welcoming staff and enjoyed the food. Wonderful to support small businesses.
