Miyabi is a neighborhood classic that has been around since the 1980s—you can’t say that about too many restaurants in SF anymore. They have a great menu, reasonable prices, and friendly wait staff. The sushi is always high quality. The space is small, and can sometimes be crowded, so we frequently order takeout. They do a great 49er roll, and I love their chirashi (see photo of our takeout order—great variety!) Miyabi is a hidden San Francisco classic.
Always been a top favorite the waitress is a sourpuss but the food is excellent!!!! A friendly reminder though they do not serve alcohol anymore due to having their licsens revoked by the ATF.... Hard to enjoy sushi without Saki or a beer it sucks but the food like I said is awesome. Just be prepared to wait if you go to lunch due to short staffing and the sheer amount of business they receive during this time!
The food is good, but it's the really nice people that make this a great restaurant. Not loud, not bustling, in no way trendy. But if you want to be comfortable, eat good sushi and pay a reasonable price, this is the place for you.
One of my favorite places in the city. The tempura is never too oily, the fish is fresh, the service is solid. The sort of place I take friends from out of town for a good meal without the fancy fancy.
Miyabi is a restaurant I visit regularly, mainly for its well priced lunch specials. My repeat dish is mostly the Salmon Teriyaki Combination Box, with either California Rolls or Tempura Veggies, combined with a small Tossed Salad and a Miso Soup Cup to start. The only thing that bugs me about the restaurant is that the management decided to start adding a surcharge to Credit Card uses of orders of less than 15 Dollars last year. For a repeat single lunch time diner, like myself, this is very unwelcoming and unreasonable. I would raise my rating to 5 stars if this discriminatory practice is removed.
I rated this four stars because for what it is it is really good. If you go to this place with the expectations of a middle ground sushi restaurant with typical dishes then this is a great place to do it at. The prices are reasonable and the food is a solid middle ground.
Going here for years, the portions are getting smaller and smaller, but the food is still awesome. Your best bet is to go on weeknight as weekends you're battling for tables with bar hoppers. Very casual and reasonably priced, try the pork tonkatsu.
Sushi was delicious.
Best sushi to try, Hamachi Toro, it's good quality fish, not the best but tasty for sure. Shiro maguro Toro was my favorite, it was fresh and very tasty, for the price it is very worth it. The unagi was perfectly cooked but the sauce was burned, it didn't happen often but when it does it leaves a very bitter taste in your mouth, overall I highly recommend.
I don't know about the rest of the menu, but I would come back for sushi over the other place on 15th and church.
Very fresh food. Reasonable price. I had the lunch special. Plenty of food and great variety and options. I am visiting SF but will probably come again before I leave.

Great service and good food!
Expect to spend 12 to 30 usd to eat well.
Only options a la carte.
The fresh salmon sashimi is amazing.
Great little Japanese restaurant! Perfect location, great food, fish always fresh. Also all their sushi is prepared by pro Japanese chefs. Delightful!
Very casual, but good and inexpensive sushi. The chef is also willing to personalize orders. The jalapeño poppers are great
One of the few restaurants I have made a singing jingle for when I think of it.
"Miyabiiiii", with sort of a nice pitch variety.
Some fantastic fish, without the normal $$$ of eating sushi in SF. I could eat the "hawaiian roll" all day. Ok, maybe not that often, but enough that I visit all the time. And it is close to MUNI
Good sushi, with some unique items. I love the baked scallops "Muni Roll". They've been there for many years too.
Love this place ! Food is amazing and fresh, service nice and fast. Definitely the best sushis place in the area!
excellent value for sushi right in fisherman's wharf area. great service, fresh fish. totally recommend
