Multi level shopping area with Bloomingdale’s as main anchor store. There was a Nordstrom here but it just recently closed. The building/venue is upscale and there is security walking around the mall and some stores have manned entrances. Good selection of chain stores and some smaller ones I wasn’t familiar with. Zara, Tory Burch, Coach, Adidas, Madewell, American Eagle, Vans, Lululemon, Sephora, Burberry, H&M, JCrew, and Kate Spade to name a few. Various food vendors throughout mall and a number of additional food providers in the food court on the lower level. A number of which specialize in Asian, Indian, and Korean foods, teas, and desserts.
Quite a large shopping center in the city center near the cable car stop. Many levels for shopping, however, the mall is half emptied, only half the floors have shops in operation while majority of the upper levels are blocked off.
The food court is located on the lowest floor, and it seems to be the most popular area in this centre
It’s true! The San Francisco’s downtown mall is dead. Westfield pulled out of the mall due to significant decrease in sales and occupancy level. Visiting here for a few days and wanted to see for myself, before it’s all gone. This used to be my stomping grounds. Especially Nordstrom. It was my “heaven”. Now it’s filled with empty spaces. No more crowds. No more eateries. Some people brought their lunch because there are tables available. Hardly any foot traffic. It’s a ghost town!! I’m still leaving five stars for the great memories. You will be terribly missed!!
My 1st time going to this mall. Its huge! Very nice mall. Lots of stores to shop at. Very clean.
I recently visited the shopping center to revamp my home, and the range of home improvement stores exceeded my expectations. From exquisite furniture to innovative home gadgets, the options were endless. The staff were knowledgeable and provided valuable advice for my specific needs. Despite the high-end quality of the products, the prices were competitive, making it a worthwhile investment for my home. With the added benefit of ongoing discounts, the entire experience was both satisfying and cost-effective. An excellent place to find everything you need for a home makeover.
This shopping mall gives you a different feeling. It’s massive and beautiful. This place has a food court, man branded shops, and a cinema too. I’m not sure about on-site car park. Very convenient place for public transport.
Westfield is always very fun. i went to the movie theater on the top floor and it was very good. nice service, good popcorn, cheap tickets, etc. the mall itself is beautiful at night, and the food court has lots of very great food. would definitely recommend the movie theater and just the mall itself!
2023:
WAS by far the nicest mall in San Francisco (in my humble opinion). When Nordstrom decided not to renew its lease and so many other retailers followed, and the San Francisco Centre Mall lost Westfield backing, the mall fell into desolation. It's still popping and busy, and the few retailers left are doing their best to ward off thieves and keep customers coming. San Francisco has really fallen apart in the last two years. It's sad. I loved this mall. 😔
Prior post:
They have some of my favorite retailers like Kiehl's, Zara, Nordstroms, Club Monaco, Ted Baker, and Banana Republic (to name a few). The food court is delicious and you can't go wrong with Auntie Anne's pretzels and lemonade whilst perusing. Christmas is my favorite time to shop though . . . it's magical. It is truly transformed into a winter wonderland; I look forward to it yearly.
I have been to SF a few times but this is the first time I went to Westfield due to bad weather. Very nice building, especially the restrooms in Bloomingdale’s are very clean. Overall a good place to stay when it is raining outside.
