Fried rice came with big portions and retained some moisture, not too dried. Twice-cooked pork was juicy and came with a good amount of cabbage. Fried reddish cake is crispy outside and soft inside. I like the sweet sauce it came with.

7/29/2023 Updated to add more dishes - the pork intestine with blood and tofu (must sound awful to westerners) is amazing! Plus, look at the size of the Chinese donut! Absolutely amazing! This, ladies and gentlemen, is what genuine Taiwanese food should taste like! An old couple owns the runs this place pretty much all by themselves. They know everyone around here and have been around here for decades. The food here, 100% amazing! Totally mind blowing - soft tofu soup 豆腐脑 only served during weekends and in the morning; probably the only place in the city who makes soft tofu like this - fried donut stick is huge … and taste really good. Check out the photos, it’s as thick as my forearm - the oyster omelet 蚵仔煎 or 海蛎煎 is amazing, fresh oyster mixed with egg and sweet potato starch and fried - lovely - red broiled beef soup and noodle 红烧牛肉面 has a specific flavor that I recognize from my childhood. The beef is juicy and tender. For those from the previous reviews who think Taiwanese food should be more spicy or should be sweet, please go to some random American Chinese restaurant vs, trashing this place. I feel personally insulted reading those reviews…

This family owned restaurant serves Taiwan style Chinese Food in generous portions and reasonable prices. The food is well prepared and tasty but be forewarned although they take credit cards they do charge a fee when you use them instead of cash. Still the prices are very good for San Francisco.

This small, family-owned restaurant is the perfect place to get your morning started right. The food tastes fresh and homemade - not like some microwavable mystery pot you found on an airplane tray table! With prices set below what most people can afford without sacrificing quality ingredients or customer service ( voted best in town!), this establishment has something for everyone whether they're looking for new experiences or just want some wholesome memories along their journey through life . I recommend stopping by early before it gets too busy so as long have time enjoying conversation with one another over breakfast while waiting tables if needed...

Very inexpensive northern Chinese food in Richmond. We ordered the typical breakfast items: 油条(Chinese donuts), 韭菜盒子(leak crispy dumplings; totally different from the one you eat in Cantonese restaurant), 咸煎饼(Chinese salt donut),豆浆(hot soy dink)。All of them are good except the leak crispy dumplings。

One of the better Taiwanese restaurants in the city. Authentic real authentic. Delicious Taiwanese staples done right. The radish cake is real tasty. The spare ribs were tangy and crunchy, perfect. The beef noodle was crazy good. Deep flavor. The menu is big and offers a lot of variety, from wild to classics. Great portion sizes for the price. A definite revisit restaurant.

This is a small family owned restaurant serving Taiwanese food. Different from Cantonese or Mandarin cuisine. Taiwanese food makes use of cured greens and pickled veggies. I come here for noodle soups. They are hearty in the cold weather...which is often in the Inner Richmond District. My family loves this place. We have eaten the onion pancakes which are crispy and chewy at the same time. Popular are the freshly made long fried bread which is used for dunking in salty soy milk - a Taiwanese breakfast. The potstickers are awesome! The portions at this restaurant are big! If you’re in the neighborhood, stop into Taiwan Restaurant for a meal. Come hungry and you’ll leave tastebuds satisfied.

Little family resteraunt. The general tso chicken was delicious! I got fried wontons when I meant to order crab rangoon. The wontons were delicious and you could tell they were made from scratch. I ordered on my lunch break and the food was ready in 5 minutes. The only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 was the ammount of pork in the wontons. They were really good but the portion of pork was the smallest I have ever seen. We are talking a pea size portion of pork. Still delish but incredibly small. I will definitely give this place another try.

Pork spare ribs were fantastic. Beef noodle soup was solid, meat had great flavor, broth was understated. Potstickers juicy and flavorful, good crisp on bottom with a nice chew to the dough.

Solid offerings. Got the thick noodles, rice cakes, eggplant, and spare ribs. Ribs and eggplant were the most flavorful, wasn't as happy with the rice cakes, but they were pepped up at home with some hot sauce. The noodles were thick and tasty, and had shrimp! I'd go back for sure.

This is a great place to eat. We ordered the Crispy Chicken, combo meat fried noodles and green onion pancake and everything tasted so great. The Customer Service was very great. Too bad we didn't take pictures of our orders cause we were so hungry. We will be back and try different foods.
