Park Chalet

Mac & Cheese for kids menu was sad. No cheese but a watery white liquid which we guess was milk. Clam chowder very good but small portions if you don’t asked to bring it into a huge piece of bread. Fries very delicious and plenty. Service bit slow but is that kind of restaurant by the beach and you should come with time and patience.

We had lunch here with friends and it was great! Our waitress was excellent and the food was really good. They have a kids menu, which the kids enjoyed and a good selection of cocktails for the adults. I had the clam chowder, fried calamari, and lobster roll. Everything tasted delicious and fresh. I recommend and would visit again.

Stopped in for a bite and a few drinks while at the beach across the street. If you're chilling at the beach, this place is extremely convenient. There's a restroom and the atmosphere is really nice obviously. The food was very pleasant as well, I would say upscale dining. We enjoyed everything we tried, I appreciate it the chef special. The drinks were very good and we ended up coming back for dinner later. There is a restaurant upstairs as well that is even more upscale. We did not eat there this time but we have eaten there before and it was a wonderful view and very good food. They are in the area and you want to treat some friends, I would recommend this place. They also sporadically have live music!

Don't sleep on Park Chalet! We stopped by for lunch after a greuling walk all over Golden Gate Park. Ordered the steak + the fish tacos (the latter being our server's recommendation). As someone who is a staunch traditionalist when it comes to tacos, the fish tacos here were insanely delicious! The fish was perfectly seasoned and tender. The mango salsa underneath had amazing crunch with flavour that completely took me unawares. Guacamole was also crazy good. 🤯 My husband's steak was also a bang for the buck in terms of how much flavor they got out of the cut. The fries and side salad with the shallot vinaigrette were also tasty. 👌 If you're craving a straightforward, flavourful, and filling meal, you won't regret dining at Park Chalet.

First off, the view of the beach is incredible, great date spot to impress a lady, especially if you get a seat by the window. I sat at the bar, the service was absolutely excellent, very polite bartender and the manager pitched in once it got busy, he thanked me for coming at the end. Food was good and their cocktails were delicious, very well made. Would definitely recommend and return.
