Review United Irish Cultural Center - San Francisco

Chuck Dougherty
This review is for the party after San Francisco's annual St Patrick's Day parade. This is the ideal venue for hosting a party for a gathering as large as one of San Francisco's largest parades. There are indoor and outdoor areas for bands, bars and dining. The corned beef and cabbage dinner was very good and impressive considering the shear number served. There were three stages offering Irish dance performances, bands and a dj. Everyone had a good time and like me many had a great time.

Came here for Phil Coulter's concert. It was wonderful. It would be perfect if the sound effect is better. When speaker speaks fast, it's hard to tell what they are talking about sometimes.

OMG! They had WWE style wrestling last Saturday and it was awesome! You can rent the facility for all types of events like weddings, apparently wrestling, and more. It is a great location, an awesome venue, and the staff is really awesome too! You’ll be happy here!

We had to plan a large funeral reception on short notice, and Aileen at the Irish Center was extremely helpful for a novice event planner like me. She offered great advice and flexibility as plans kept changing. The staff on the day of the reception was great and we felt so grateful to gather there.

Came here for the Christmas dance gathering in the dance hall. The event was just in the dance hall, other nice place to be in! Any coming to Irish set dancing or ceilis, please join-- the more the merrier!

Good food, and plenty of it in a comfortable easy atmosphere. This is not fine dining, but the food is above average in the food for the masses sense. The interior has seen better days and is in need of a spruce up. Nothing too drastic; new carpets, hardwood floors refinished, new chairs (that don't weigh a ton), new tables (that have room for knees), and a coat of paint would do it.

Food, ambience, and service were excellent. Clayton, our server went above and beyond to fulfill our needs. We were a party of 10 celebrating a milestone birthday with many special requests. He and his assistant graciously served us. We will return.

Love love LOVE.... Food is very decent. Like a home cooked meal. Company is wonderful. When they have live music it's a beautiful addition. Highly recommend. It's the closest restaurant to our home and I don't get here nearly enough. I believe they are only open to the public for dinner thu- sun... Definitely worth the trek. Feels like home xoxo

The UICC is an awesome venue for small or large events! I've attended both large-scale banquets and small family birthday celebrations at the Center, and left feeling great about the experience. The food is good, the drinks and bar are awesome, and the atmosphere is really unique and comfortable. It really feels like a community hub! I highly recommend considering the Center for any event (no matter the size), or even a quick drink or dinner.

Fantastic, friendly place to gather with friends. Great outdoor setup under the tent! Open Saturdays with live music, even if Google says otherwise.

This is an virtually undiscovered dining gem in this part of SF. II just had an excellent veal scallopine dinner here. Prices are cheap for SF. In addition, because it is not popular, you don't have to wait for a table and can get instantly seated, even at a Saturday night at 7PM. Plenty of street parking. Place feels kinda like funky high-end. I should have taken a photo of their menu to post. I am not sure if they do it anymore, but a year ago I came for dinner and hey had a great irish folk band playing. Yes, some of the people who go here/work here are not young anymore. Don't go if you are offended by the presence of people over 30. Check it out if you are looking for an alternative to standard SF sushi//Chinese/Thai//Peruvian/Mexican, etc

My first time. Very nice people enjoying them selves. I also enjoyed performing and eating my torta I bought from the taco truck that was. Busy
