Altalena Vinoteca - San Francisco - Photo album

Was really happy that we ate here. It’s a nice place with nice people. We had a smoked Salmon for starters (to share). It was very nice and the beard was tasty too. Then we had a pizza each. Again very tasty and great start to our trip in San Fran
Excellent food and wine with a great atmosphere. Best French Dip we have ever had! Very attentive service, chef even came out to talk to us about the food, highly recommended!
What an amazing experience! The owners AJ and Amanda were so great. I had the French sandwich which was amazing. I stayed for a few hours and drank different wines and chatted with them. I will be back next time for sure!
Great place. Very nice atmosphere - what we in Danish call hyggelig. The food was really good. If you are into huge American fastfood dishes don't come here but if you are into quality then this is a perfect spot. And there is also a very decent wine card.
The Loosen Brothers Dr. L Riesling from Mosel, Germany 2017 paired delightfully with the Marinara Pizza with garlic, Gorgonzola, arugala and anchovies! The setting is very Italian here and the service is stellar! Tell Amanda that Pinkie sent you! Awesome!!!
A quick Google search for the best wood fired pizza and Carmel’s Pizza was at the top of the list. Had planned to head there for dinner but with a cool and windy San Francisco evening in store, we chose the option to eat this pizza at the warmer and cosier Altalena Vinoteca, a short stroll from the
A great new place. Clean and comfortable. The food is fresh. The owners, I think husband and wife, prepare and serve the food. Nice selection of wines to go with your lunch. I've gone there 5 or 6 times already and it was a joy every time.
Great attentive service. The plate options are scoped to a discriminating palate. The firewood pizza is something from the old world and perfected with care. You will be glad you found this difference maker in a sea of tourist spots selling the same old chowder.
I just went for the first time this evening and loved it! They’ve done such a great job with the outdoor seating and the service was outstanding. Great selection of wines and food is delicious. I’m really impressed.
This is a relatively new place. Same owners as Carmel Pizza around the corner. They have very good, fresh sandwiches and salads for lunch. Plus, nice wine selection. Great, upscale place to sit down and eat.
