Pricey indeed, but one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Get it medium rare, and skip the egg - it'll make it too messy to eat and it's not needed.

Decor: 4/5 -Limited seating for parties of 2-4 -Enter through the east door and sign up for the waitlist Service: 4/5 -Be patient, there are a total of two servers -The food doesn't take terribly long, expect roughly 15-20 mins. Food: 4/5 -only six items on the menu: rove burger, chicken sandwich, cheese sandwich, french toast, granola and bread pudding -French Toast was a solid 5/5. No questions or hesitation. The bread was just the right crunch with ample fresh fruits and two slices of bacon -Chicken Sandwich felt a bit underwhelming. You do get a thick, plump, dark meat chicken however the sauce was not to my liking and the chicken wasn't hot.

The best chicken sandwiches in San Francisco. The burgers are also excellence - tender, and succulent beef and an amazing caramelised onion. All bread products (buns etc) appear to be baked on site each day, meaning their bread pudding is spectacular. Rove Kitchen has been consistently excellent for several years now, and their chicken and waffles brunch offering is made with the same superlative chicken as their chicken sandwich.

dropped here on a whim when the dinner spot we wanted to go to was too busy. initially we waited by the door but the waiter was kind enough to show us a spot that we could stand out of the cold. menu is very simple and straightforward -- great for people who don't like to make choices! we got the salad, the burger, the chicken sandwich, and the bread pudding! every bite was amazing. the short rib burger was probably one of the best burgers i had ever had, really high quality meat ground at the restaurant. the fried chicken was moist and crispy. the salad had the most amazing pears, creamy feta cheese, and was perfectly balanced in the dressing. the bread pudding with salted caramel and maple cream was literally heaven in my mouth. our total bill came to under $60. highly recommend! we'll be coming back soon (hopefully for brunch next time!).

I think this was the best burger I've ever had. We had a chicken sandwich and a burger. The chicken sandwich was really good but that burger was unreal!!! Very cute place. Expensive but worth it. Our favorite place in SF so far!

Tasty food in a great atmosphere. The waiters are nice, and the music is good. Also, the fries aren't included with the sandwiches, but you should definitely order them! The burger is one of the best in the city, I think.

Came here to satisfy my grilled cheese craving. Expect a long wait. We arrived closer to 9pm on a Thursday night and waited for 30 minutes outside. The only advantage of being out in the cold was seeing the chefs work their magic through the window, especially putting together that burger. So here's the rub. The food is good. But it's not the best grilled cheese or burger I've had in the city and not really worth waiting 30+ minutes for. Service is friendly.

Wow I love Rove. I live nearby and used to go constantly before it got so popular. Limited seating and limited hours can be a problem, so be sure to check if they are open before you visit. It is a very small menu, so be sure you like what they have on offer. It's all top quality stuff. Good beer and wine selections. Great staff.
