The Grub at Ocean Ale House is excellent 👍. I Love the Fish Tacos...the host Michael and his female cohorts are friendly and gracious. They are expanding and the whole redux will be done in February I think Michael said. They have local Jazz quartets play on a regular basis. It's a lovely place with good food and great staff. Always a pleasure and look forward to the Grand Expansion.

Awesome drinks: not only impressive selection of beers, but also craft cocktails and wine. But most importantly jazz almost every day of the week! I highly recommend!

Best spot on Ocean for a beer and dinner.
Frequently have live music.
Outdoor seating is typically available as well.
Staff are amazingly friendly, and they have to-go beers!

We were looking for a good food and beer place after watching a movie at the Regal Stonestown Galleria (that's another review), and Ocean Ale House came up. It was about 3 in the afternoon on a Sunday, so the place was pretty empty, but I can see how it would be very popular during prime time.
Of course, all the reviews rave about the Fried Potatoes ($9), which we can attest to. It was just two of us, and we maybe ate half a serving. Did I mention it's a large serving? I ordered the BLT ($15), which was fantastic. My wife ordered the salmon salad sandwich, which I can't recall the price of, but she thought it was excellent, with plentiful chunks of fish. The service was excellent, with 3 employees periodically checking on us throughout our visit.
Of course, we had to wash it all down with beer, of which they have plenty of from a variety of local craft breweries.
Ambience-wise, it's pretty ordinary, but they are in the middle of expanding, so I'll reserve judgment for now. Besides, with such good food, beer and service, who cares what the place looks like!

Stumbled upon this wonderful surprise: Sunday afternoon with an amazing jazz ensemble, hitting-it-out-of-the-park burger, and lovely beer selection - all served with a smile and a wink. Wow.

Chicken sandwich was phenomenal, and probably the best fries I've had in the city. Chill vibe, friendly owner. Good amount of seating. Highly recommend.
