The Half Baked roll is a classic that you will find at many restaurants under different names. I've sampled quite a few, but the one Kuma makes is undoubtedly the best I've ever had.

Kuma Sushi was a pleasant experience, went there with a Nob Hill Local and had high praise for this place and deservedly so. Menu is pretty extensive with sashimi/nagiris and a lot of sushi selections (Including Veggie options). Ordered shishito peppers and the half baked and hey girl rolls which are pretty tasty.

I'm not exactly a poet, but I am patient. I've waited more than a year to write this review. I wanted to make sure this place was real before I properly endorsed it. Kuma Sushi +Saki is like a wet dream wrapped in the best orgasm you've ever had that rides in on a unicorn. I don't know how else to describe it. Why did I wait so long to write this? San Francisco can be a tough place to make a living. I've tried to scrape, I've tried to save money (it's not that expensive to eat here) to visit Kuma Sushi + Saki again, but instead I just went for it. My landlord is going to be pissed. I'm sitting at the sushi bar now and I'm compelled to gush prose under the spell of Kuma Sushi + Saki. When I thought the food and ambience couldn't be better, a delicate apparition wearing all white, black boots and dangling silver earrings sat down next to me. She ordered a chardonnay and Uni. That's right, she single handedly transformed white wine and the gooey yummy stuff into something that will replace apple juice, Vienna sauges and saltine crackers as school snacks someday. Back to Kuma Sushi + Saki. This place and food are magical. If you live in San Francisco or are visiting our beautiful city this is date night. This is relaxed romance and beautiful amazing food prepared by unassuming brilliant artists.

Great good, service, and ambiance! We went with the iidako karaage, hamachi kama, nigiri tasting, & hey girl roll. The ambiance was dimly lit and romantic with the soft candle light. The food came out really fast and the nigiri tasting was a perfect finish to our meal.

Service was fast and great. My favorites were the bluefin tuna collar big plate and the Ox and tiger roll. The local sake was yummy too. Would come back

Amazing food and experiences! The decoration of sashimi plate just likes an art piece. Service is very good too.

Amazing sushi and interesting dishes, great value for money. Pretty no nonsense service. The only downside is that our clothes smelled like oil and fish after the dinner and while being seated more in the back. Still was worth it, I’d go back!

Yummmmmmm! Cheeky cheeky roll is a must order! I love the smoky flavor and complexed texture in my mouth, feels like multiple notes in a harmony! Shishito pepper is definitely a highlight! No wonder it’s chef’s favorites. We also ordered salmon collar, touched in perfect condition, crispy on the outside, tender and juicy the inside. Tuna tempura is tasty as well! We finished with Taro ice cream. Lovey end note to this amazing dinner experience. Oh forgot to mention their candy selection, can’t help myself to grab more. I’ll come back here again.

Highly suggest! Really cool atmosphere, great restaurant size, excellent service, excellent food. We took this restaurant as a suggestion from our Uber driver and were glad that we did. I will definitely be coming back.

Very great experience, lots of rolls and nigiri was a nice plus with a low rice to fish ratio. The fish was soft and fresh, the appetizers were average and a bit salty. Would love to try some of their other items next time!
