Wayo Sushi Restaurant - San Francisco - Photo album

Excellent but you need to reserve your seat well in advance. Toro tuna was the best sushi I have had outside of Japan. Service is excellent. Drink menu is anemic but you wont care after the tuna and the mango spicy tuna roll which is amazing.
Best sushis I've had in San Francisco! The sushi chef was also kind enough to allow us to stay even if we had no reservation as he was very busy serving other customers. Also I would rate as A1 the cleanliness of the place, and the care the sushi chef takes when he handles the food, making sure the
The food was one of the best sushi spots I have been to in SF! The quality and overall flavor was amazing perfectly balanced + and the prices were manageable as well, would definitely go back!
It always a pleasure to eat at WAYO sushi. The couple are super nice and always smiling and explaining everything. The food is just PERFECT! It's better to call before to reserve a spot. Highly recommended!
What do we do best in SF - SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESSES! So happy this place is near my apartment. The quality of food, service, and atmosphere is top tiered.
The sushi was amazing! Best unagi I’ve ever had. Taki was incredible too. The woman serving us was also so sweet. Highly recommend this place.
Just the best sushi I’ve ever had. Never had such fresh “toro” and “hamachi”. Really a must. Reservations only.
It was the best Sushi in 20 years since my stint in Okinawa!! Can not rave high enough, brought back lots of memories. Thank you for letting me in, as reservation’s are required! Arigatou gozaimasu
Wow. This place impressed us. Fantastic sushi that doesn't break the bank. Had to order take out due to the shutdown and the sushi was fresh, well packaged, and just delicious. Ordered the omakase and added a roll and some other items. Seems like a family establishment too which we always love suppo
Awesome place. Very small, simply ran, humble—but delicious food and great service. Thankful we were able to stop in.
the chef was so nice, he made the sushi fresh to order and it was delicious! price was very reasonable too!
Great little sushi joint on Van Ness. Had the eel roll and seaweed salad and was very happy with both.
This has always been my favorite sushi spot in the whole city which i can come any time. Casual and friendly. Fish are great and the rice is what to come for, always freshly made. Even the fake crabs feel “real” here. Plus point for a cute and clean toilet in the neighborhood.
High quality and affordable sushi. Run by just a couple, so be patient with them. If you get the chance to have the toro when they have it on the menu, you must try.
All this fresh seafood for $25?? Unheard of. Also, the sushi chef was the cutest old man. Will be coming back.
Had a great solo meal on a quiet Tuesday night. Ordered an Omakase and a toro nigiri - both were delicious. It’s relatively casual, evidenced by the reasonable prices and bento trays for serving. The space is small but cozy and inviting. The sensei works behind the counter steady and serene. This pl
Great traditional sushi restaurant which is quite large for a restaurant with a single chef. Be prepared for a wait (on a Tuesday at 8pm, it was about 45 minutes for food to be served), but expect some fair prices and solid sushi in exchange. The menu is quite simple (basic nigiri/sashimi/maki opti
Really good sushi, they don’t open until 6p for dinner wish they opened earlier. Really good fresh fish.
Most authentic and affordable sushi in SF. No frills sushi and super fresh. Owner is a nice, older Japanese man. Make reservations in advance for dinner because they get busy since it's only him working. They can only seat 6-10 people inside at a time.
