Few places in the city you can get Goat Birria. Served on the weekend, was a able to split it and had left overs to take home. Came with tortillas/salsa/cilantro/onions/limes all for under $20. Can’t go wrong with one of their super burritos. Great hours too
So spacious and high-ceiling that is resembles a neat , rustic church located south of the borders( wall are strewn with superb paintings; perfect for large get-togethers and solid vegetation options, need to come her again for confession, salvation and tacos
The best burrito I've ever had. A perfect combo of ingredients and very tasty and moist meat. The green sauce was also amazing. The atmosphere felt very much like you were in Mexico.
We took 3 burritos, there were all delicious! Thanks
Hands down one of the best places to grab some tacos, burritos or a burrito bowl in the Bay Area! We have been coming to this places for years anytime we are in San Francisco and it never disappoints. I highly recommend the horchata!
Taqueria San Jose has some of the best al pastor in the Mission. The burritos here are always consistently delicious and is so conveniently located right next to the 24th St station. Service is great and has a fun atmosphere. Highly recommend it.
🇮🇹 One of my favorite all time Mission Street stops is Taqueria San Jose. The Taqueria has been open since 1980 and during this time the Taqueria has become a local favorite because of the food and safe interior. My favorite items are the Pollo Asada Tacos. I always treat myself to both the soft tacos and hard shell tacos. I am always satisfied with the juicy marinated chicken. When you bite into a taco you will taste the flavors of lime, spices, cilantro, red onions, garlic, and tomato. This mix is the epicurean 4th of July. If you are near 24th/Mission, give Taqueria San Jose a try.
I had their super burrito al pastor and it was BOMB, best al pastor I've had in a long time! The flavor was just on point. Chips were extra but not expensive and they were good, their green salsa was good too. The restaurant was spacious and they had an outdoors space in the back, bathrooms were clean.
One of the best mexican place in mission. Ordered cabeza burritos and tacos 🌮 they were tasty and jucy. Service was quick and staff were friendly. They also had a great patio on the back so you could take your dog too.
Thought this place was great. They have a trompo. Carnitas and Al Pastor were both super flavorful and had some good crispy bits. Salsa was great. They’ve been around a long time and you can tell they really have all the details down and just deliver consistently. Good value too.
Right on mission next to bart so it's not hard to find. Once you step, you get a big spacious environment with plenty of seating. After checking the menu lining up to place your order, your greeted with the guys behind the counter and a clear view of the kitchen. Ordered 4 chicken tacos. Meat was tender with a really good sauce on top. One of the better places that I've been too on mission.
We traveled in from the Wharf to the Mission District specifically to eat at Taquería San José, and it was worth the trip. The service was great, prices are perfect, and the food was delicious.
I ordered 2 Baby Burritos, thinking that the “baby” part meant they were small. While I’m not sad at getting/having to eat two, one would have filled me up.
My wife got a torta con carne asada, and she was pleased.
Don’t sleep on Taqueria San Jose, this place is legit. The burritos are awesome. Service is quick and it’s right down the street from La Taqueria.
Located in a key spot in san francisco close to transit. Good in and out spot as well. Try it if you have not.
