Yummy food, large and well satisfying portions, great burgers and super-amazing nachos. Great cocktails, great music, nice relaxing environment. Very good quality price ratio. We felt service was hurried up from 1 hr before closure on a night with not many clients. Nice Hard Rock Café shop too, also this closes sooner than the restaurant.

This place has a very cool vibe, burgers and fries are amazing. The staff's friendliness and engagement is excellent. I have been here 3 times in the past 2 months, and loved each time. The only thing I was not very impressed with was when I tried Messi burger(no offense to Messi, he's goat), but the burger was not so good. My recommendation would be BBQ bacon cheeseburger, fries, onion rings and few Long Island Ice Teas 😜

I've always liked to visit the Hard Rock Cafe in every city around the world that has them. This one was pretty nice too. It's a good atmosphere, especially if you sit at the bar. Other than that, it's the same food and rocking experience you'd expect from the world famous Hard Rock!

The servers had some mishaps but not enough to ruin the experience. The flatbread pizza was really good and the chicken burger wasn’t bad either. Not the most authentic SF wharf-area restaurant but still good if you want a quick bite.

Wanted a soda water. Waiter 1 (dreadlocks) said: We don’t have a machine for this anymore, you need to take a San Pellegrino bottle. As the drinks took very long, I asked another waiter if I could get my soda water. He brought me a soda water from the machine (as I wanted it). When waiter 1 came back, I said: So you do have soda water? He said: Oh, well that’s garbage, it’s not good. I’ll bring you a bottle. I tried it, and it was perfect. Small cider is 9 Dollar. Food is OK but there are so many better options in San Francisco. I really don’t get who goes here, probably only tourists

Amazing atmosphere just too loud heavy metal sometimes, good service, good food, but expensive. The new Messi Sandwich was delicious, the lemonades refreshing, and great steak.

We (7 of us total) stopped by here for lunch on Wed (4/5) after our ride on the Blue & Gold Fleet. Seating was immediate. Wasn’t super crowded. The restaurant is clean and welcoming just like other Hard Rock Cafe’s we’ve been to. It’s entertaining and fun. Service was good. Our food came hot straight from the kitchen. All came out really well and tasted really good. Everyone enjoyed their meal which was great. Would definitely return if in the area again. Highly recommend if you’re at PIER 39 and looking for a good lunch. Restaurant 5/5. Service 5/5. Food 5/5. Food presentation 5/5. Value/Price ratio 5/5.

We visited this week on a weekend for lunch. Very busy place expect a 20-30min wait time. Or try to reserve a table in advance. Our waitress was so great and very helpful in suggesting the food. We ordered wings, drinks, flat bread and a chicken burger everything tasted delicious. They gave us one wrong order and corrected immediately later complimented with free fries. Overall excellent experience I highly recommend it if you are visiting pier 39.

Rocked up to Hard Rock Cafe with expectations as high as a soaring guitar solo, and boy, did they hit the high note! From the décor, a masterclass in rock n' roll history, to the burger that had me headbanging in flavor ecstasy, it was a chart-topper of an experience. Even the staff seemed like they could've been on tour with the Stones. Came for the grub, stayed for the ambiance, left with a rockin' good memory. Encore, please!

Very expensive but the staff are amazing! They are fast and helpful and some of the nicest people I came across while in California. One of the guys even helped me explain that Elvis was the king of rock and roll to my un trustful son 🤣

While the atmosphere we've all come to love about HRC is there it's the service and food that really stood out for us. From the minute we walked in the tallest young lady I'm seen working the front before knew we needed a booth and was so pleasant, to our waitress who checked on us time and time again, to the guy that delivered the food with a fun attitude, to the guy that actually cleared our table who was hilarious and fun, to the manager that stopped made sure we had a great experience, and even ran our check for us - a big five stars .

We went in for my birthday lunch 4/7 and I figured let’s give it a try. I don’t usually like crowned places but I mean I’m in the bay! We had gotten a reservation to be safe but luckily we didn’t even need one they sat us down immediately. The server was fast and the staff very attentive to all the tables needs. Great location on the pier! We sat at the bar & Ronaldo (lawd I hope I got his name correct) he was just so great! Our drinks were good & strong!👌🏼 He made sure our glasses stayed full & we didn't need for anything! Hubby & I opted for burgers (which is unusual) & they were so damn good! Great atmosphere! Of the numerous times we’ve been to the city, I’ve never picked up a T-shirt from here. HRC t’s are my must-have travel souvenir. I’ve been to a few : Barcelona Buenos Aires Cayman Islands Honolulu Key West Kona Lima London Los Angeles Maui Miami New Orleans New York Paris Philadelphia Phoenix Rome San Francisco Seattle Tokyo Washington D.C. ATMOSPHERE: Located in bustling and tourist-infested Pier 39, they couldn’t have picked a more lucrative spot (relocated once). The exterior features a big steel structure outline of a guitar which you walk through to enter the restaurant. Inside, it’s a no-frills, open space with the usual memorabilia adorning the walls. The good-sized Rock Shop has a separate entrance but seamlessly blends into the restaurant. THE PURCHASE: I loathe the white tee with the original design. I want a unique-looking motif, which I found for $35! I’ve never seen it at any other location. It’s a tasteful blue & white tie dye color with the original logo in a different typeface. Perfect! SERVICE: Really good. One associate asked if I needed assistance as I was perusing the merch and the cashier was very friendly and engaging. TIP: Fear not as the loud overhead music is part of their bygone era. OVERALL: Long live HRC!

Only ritual that i follow is - visiting Hard Rock Cafe where ever i travel. While roaming on Fisherman's Wharf, when i see HRC, couldn't resist. However, i have to wait for 30 mins to get the table. Calling them before and reserving your table would be ideal, if you don't want to wait coz given the location it's, generally, always crowded. Nonetheless, Food was good and delicious and the staff was awesome. Food - 5/5 Service - 4/5 Ambiance - 4/5

Visited Hard Rock cafe while we were at fisherman wharf. As I didnt like other leave at fisherman's wharf I finally decided to visit Hard Rock instead of trying new. Hard Rock is famous for their lovely cocktails, music. Service is good and quick.

It was an average experience. We had to wait 40 minutes before getting a table. We ordered the nachos, burgers and the salmon. The staff were distracted a bit and a bit lost. The food was average and it is a bit overpriced. The ambiance was nice.

Hard Rock Cafe needs no introduction. I am already a fan. My this review includes mainly the table reservation. As this is located on Fishermans Wharf. It attracts a lot of crowd. So call before arriving and reserve a table. They do have some serious 30-45 mins waiting if you drop by directly even on a weekday. Food is as usual- Hard Rockolicious. ;)

Average food, below-average decor. Not much to say. It's your average Hard Rock Cafe. I didn't think that it had much in the way of iconic musical relics. Service was a little slow, but not horrible. I'd eat there again, but I wouldn't rush back or go out of my way for it.

Being to the Hard Rock Cafe in Fukuoka, Japan and must say it was amazing and loved it. The service was great friendly, the food came out perfectly each time. The food was on point and did not disappoint. Was cool cause we could actually take a glass home, which was a new glass packed in a box.

I've been to numerous hard rock cafes at different cities/countries and I've loved each & every one of them except for this hard rock cafe at fisherman's wharf, pier 39 san fran. It took about 30 mins for us, a group of 4 to get a table, another 30 mins for our server to take our orders & another 30 minutes for our food to be served. Not only the wait was long, the order wasnt placed correctly either by the server initially (so more wait time for right food to come). Drinks came after the food (weird & that too took a long time). Extremely busy restaurant, so dont expect efficient service. Food like always was good though. I had the legendary buger(chicken) with strawberry mojito. My friends enjoyed their burgers too. The washroom was filthy. It seemed like this hrc needs more staff to keep up with the hard rock cafe's service & cleanliness standards. If i were you I'd dine somewhere else at pier 39.

Just a quick drop in for a few beers at the bar. Nice friendly service that wasn't in our face all the time. When my wife asked about a couple of the beers, she was offered a free sample of them both to help decide. A Thursday night and it wasn't busy so good to get this level of service.

I was here sometime back on a Sunday afternoon. Excellent ambience and service was ok. We stopped here for quick drinks. I tried margarita which was pretty good. They are placed right in the middle of Fisherman's Wharf market, which is a really nice location.

I see complaints about price but guess what?? You are on Peir 39 on Fishermans wharf. What would you expect?? And the price was not much different than the Hard Rock back home. The atmosphere was fun and the music memorabilia was great with lots of stuff about the rich San Fran rock music history. Dinner & drinks was great. Service was excellent and all staff were up beat & friendly. Even my 80 year old Mom enjoyed it. Worth every penny!

For what Hard Rock Café is the Fisherman's Wharf location is a decent restaurant. We go out of our way to visit the Hard Rock chain when we're on holiday, it's just one of our things, and when you go in understanding that it's going to be touristy and that the prices are going to reflect the tourist crowd of diners then you'll be a-okay with what you get in return. The night we visited was incredibly quiet so the service was top notch given that there was only a very small group of diners for the waiters to look after. As for food on this occasion I had the pulled pork burger which had a great BBQ sauce then shared an apple cobbler with my husband. The housemade strawberry and basil lemonade is also great.

Absolutly horrable. Overpriced and bad service. Went to eat there after a 5 hours boat tour and only went in because we were starving. We should have just starved. The food tasted like it had been sitting around all day, our server acted like he was the greatest thing known to man and the wireless cut out after 5 minutes and would not work again. Great for the deadline I was trying to meet for a work project. We went to a high end Japanese Fusion bistro a few nights later and paid the exact same price for three people. Places like this make me so irritated because you you just know that they will continue to fill their seats due to their location. SHUT IT DOWN!!!

Overpriced, not worth the trip. I haden't been to a hard rock cafe in ten years, now I'm glad for that fact. My wife and myself went for lunch and the bill came to over 40 dollars! Mind you no apps no booze, just two sandwiches and two cokes. The food is nothing to write home about. Not worth your time or money.

A Rock Museum with Great Food. Great friendly service while being surrounded by rock memorabilia. I had a BBQ Burger with bacon that was both messy and out of this world. Enjoyed the surroundings and actual music videos. Hey, they played Dio "Rainbow in the Dark"! No room for desert, pity. The menu has more than its share of choices to eat. Plates are generous and flavor explodes with every bite.

Hard Rock is a crock!. In the grand tradition of screwing the unsuspecting tourists that frequent Fisherman's Warf, the Hard Rock really holds up their end of the bargain. The prices for a frigin burger are what you would expect to see for a entre on a dinner menu. As has been repeated in other reviews of this place the service was more than lacking, and mind you we went when it wasn't busy. I couldn't believe that they acually had a gift shop inside the restaurant. Since I couldn't find a "I got screwed at the Hard Rock" tshirt they didn't get my business. There are much more worthy places for you to blow your dough at on the warf.
