Spicy King - San Francisco - Photo album

I have traveled to many places and have been on a quest to find the best Chinese cuisine. I can add this place as one of my top 3 places in the world! From Shenzhen to San Francisco!
The best Dan Dan noodles I have ever had! For a reasonable price too!! We also got a dish of General Tsao's Chicken which was very delicious as well. Service was great too! Would definitely go back!
One of the best restaurants in Chinatown and all of San Francisco for that matter. The food is delicious, spicy (as the name indicates) and a good value. This is a great representation of Szechuan cuisine and a must stop to any visit to the area (and a mainstay for locals).
They have a wide menu with lots of good food at a very reasonable price. Some things you can get Sichuan style and are very good. Service like most places in Chinatown leave a lot to be desired. I would recommend ordering family style here and sharing vs individually.
Very good food and great service. We had the kung pao chicken, bean jello in red chili sauce, twice cooked pork, and spicy beef with chili oil. Everything we had was delicious and the beef was super spicy and very authentic. The kung pao chicken was much saucier then I've had at other restaurants an
Loved it! Spicy and flavorful yet simple. Had the sautéed ginger duck, wanton soup in chicken broth and Dan Dan noodles. All 3 were delicious and I have high respect for that wanton soup..If a cook can make something that looks like water sumptuously tasty, that cook can surely cook!
The answer is yes. Just go. So glad we decided to try it. From the appetizer to the meal, it was actually spicy, full of flavor, tender meat. I’ve never had such delicious eggplant. This place is a gem I’m telling you. Oh and our waitress during lunch on a Wednesday was the best!
Decent Sichuan cooking and good selection. Best I know in SF. I'm no longer grading globally, so upgrading. Service is Chinese style -- they rush back and forth, you have to flag them down if you want something. Frankly it's kind of nice, compared to Western hover waiters, but it's easy to miscons
Friendly staff and good atmosphere, sure. But why are we talking about that? FORGET IT. THE FOOD IS AMAZING. 10/5 for the food. Incredible taste, textures, colors, and smells. Would eat here every day if I could.
Spicy king was a hoot. Hotpot. Dan Dan noodles. Delicious. The group had the 2 flavour stock HotPot. I had the DanDan and it was great. Dimly lit but that's part of the appeal. Lively inside and prices fair.
Fairly empty Sunday for lunch at 1p so service was great and food came out fast. We ordered the spicy lamb and mapo tofu. Lamb was excellent and tofu was just okay. Wish we had more room to try all the other Sichuan dishes!
Best Szechuan restaurant in SF! I've tried many places and nowhere compares to Spicy Kings beef noodle soup
We ordered Mandarin dinner(comes with Spring rolls, Hot and sour soup, Mongolian beef and Cashew chicken) and extra order of Beef chow mein. Everything tasted very fresh and delicious. Cashew chicken was our favorite dish.
Their menu has pictures, and the food is as delicious as it looks and does look like the menu picture...The spicy flavor is not mouth burning hot, but can be; I told my waiter that digestive issues and they gave me a bowl of noodles that are absolutely fabulous, not overly spicy and totally flavorfu
If you are looking for the traditional authentic cuisine Spicy King is it! We absolutely love it. Tried a bunch of Chinese places in China Town but none of them came close to this one. Highly recommend it!
Good! Really good food, friendly staff, and nice feel to the restaurant. As you would expect from the theme and name, the food is very spicy, even coming from someone who regularly eats spicy food.
