Mister Jiu’s - San Francisco - Photo album

Appetizers are amazing with a fine line of fusion. Entrees (we ordered a whole fish and chicken) are quite disappointing, definitely not worth the price. The fish can be served in any restaurant in China for $20. Next time I will just go to the bar and order appetizers. The other restaurant Empress
Brought the family here to celebrate a birthday. It is based in an historic Chinatown building. The service was fun and ambiance lively. They even gave us a little card for the birthday. We loved the modern cantonese cuisine with some western touches. Cocktails were balanced and tasty. The halibut “
This is now one of my new favorite restaurants! Everything was superb, from the food to the service to the stunning decor (even the bathroom was gorgeous). My husband and I went for our 1 year wedding anniversary and the staff wrote us a very cute card as a thank you for celebrating with them. Can't
These boys can cook. Big fear amongst Asians is paying top dollar from something their mama can make, but the flavors on some of these dishes were outstanding . Got the harmony and the tequila drink , tasted like a peanut milk drink, very peanutty kind sweet The spicy tequila drink was balanced and
So much food! There is a tasting before the main dish, started with a bite, then a calamari salad (delish), lobster soup dumpling, charred eel with crispy rice, lamb (I believe it was unnecessary) and the the beef noodles (I wish I had an empty stomach or more capacity to eat) we got the leftovers a
Came here for my bday and wow what an experience! Good: - Loved how there was such a nice ambiance, the place is beautiful - Each dish was so unique and tasty and good - Service was good - they checked in on us a lot - we got the set menu which was awesome - the char Sui dish was great - Duck and f
My old pal Harley Krakenbacker just moved back from Saigon and wanted to go get dinner with me, so I thought I'd take him to Mister Jiu's. I picked him up at his house out on Broadway and said we'll go to Mister Jiu's for Chinese food, he said no way! I've had nothing but Asian food for 2 years, I
Could not get a reservation so we did à la carte menu for walk-in diners at the bar. Supplemented the baby bok choy and fried rice with the signature, family-style roast duck with burnished skin. AMAZING and way too much for 2 people.
We got the tasting menu and the Peking duck. GET THE PEKING DUCK IT IS SO GOOD and authentic. Overall the food is decent, but a little on the salty side for every dish. So if u can, definitely get something sweet for drinks.
Had a superb experience late Saturday night. We had three people, one with a wine pairing and one with a non-alcoholic pairing with the duck to cap it off. Absolutely incredible service, with perfect pacing and constant attention. Food was top-notch, with exquisite flavors that brought traditional C
Really good cuisine deep in the heart of Chinatown. Fantastic Chinese food in a great looking dining room equals a great experience. The clay baked fish was amazing, especially they way it was dressed. The squid ink dumplings were super succulent. Amazing friend rice and book choy. And the rice roll
We ate as bar walk-ins. The Happiness cocktail (gin, mandarin honey and alpine bitters) was great with shrimp chips flavored with salt and vinegar, yellowtail yuzu and the wonderful puffed sourdough scallion pancakes with soubise and caviar. We also had a chicken cabbage salad and beef chow fun, b
I like their twist on Chinese food but I wouldn’t pay for it again. The snow peas are good so maybe the snow peas.
Securing a dinner reservation for three, we headed to San Francisco for the weekend. Every item on the tasting menu impressed us, and the addition of duck was a good decision. My ultimate favorite was the day boat scallop and pork belly dumpling—their in-house xo sauce was exceptional, and I wish I
The food was delicious as always! We especially loved the silken tofu (with the tomatoes it kind of tasted like burrata salad!) and the eggplant. We also tried the noodle with mushroom instead of meat (the noodle was a fun texture), the scallion pancake (not bad but it’s plainer than the other dishe
Magnificent food! I would recommend the quail, the cabbage, the prawn crackers and the pancake. If you are ordering from the bar menu, trust the staff… who are amazing. Thank you so much, it made our night magical 🧪🥄🤜🏻♥️
