Glass of wine--an amazing find in SF Financial District. San Francisco Wine Society is a hidden gem on Merchant Street [alley] off Battery street. The beautifully decorated sitting area of padded leather chairs and tables and comfortably dark and subdued decorating are the perfect backdrop to enjoy a great glass of wine and light bites. Sat at the bar and chatted up Chris and Erik, the sommelier, who told me that there are over 50 wines by the glass on the menu. Rare to find wine bars that serve so many choices from other countries. Debated between having a glass of French, Italian, Greek, Croatian, and Spanish wine. Erik was able to speak expertly about each choice and guide me to something I really enjoyed. They have an interesting and tasty light bites menu if you'd like to nibble while enjoying your glass. Worth a stop just for the experience.

Great wine selection and Bocci ball. Very comfortable vibe, places to sit and have a good conversation. Food was great, compliments the wine.

extremely welcoming and helpful staff. the room felt like we were in a living room, super laid back, relaxing and comfortable. appropriate for a conversation among a group of friends or to set a romantic mood.
by the glass had a broad selection, across regions, varietals, with a very wide set of price points. it allowed you to enjoy a casual glass all the way to trying a collectible.

Stumbled across the place after dinner in downtown SF. Such a cool spot. Wine was great, ambience was a 10/10. Plus it has bocce ball in the alley outside!

Such a hidden gem, I didn't know about this place until my best friend takes me to have a glass of wine. Lady that works there as a waiter is above and beyond, I feel bad I forgot her name. Place is so cozy and clasy. I absolutely recommend this place.

One of my favorite wine spots in the city. It used to be Hidden vine before and I was disappointed when noticed that it closed down. Was happily surprised that it re-opened with a new name. Their wine selection is among the best in the city and is a beautiful chill place.

The freshly baked Nutella cookies are to die for!
I love the decor that extends to the parklet and bathrooms.
