Ginto Izakaya Japonaise - San Francisco - Photo album

Second time here. Late night and I wanted some decent sushi with sake. Overall did not disappoint. Some menu items out but I was very late dining. Prices were on the steep side. Great service though.
Updating review and increasing rating (I added one star because had been super consistent every time I've been here). This pace is restaurant is super casual and spacious--able to accommodate larger groups. Service is friendly and helpful, but can be a little slow if the restaurant is packed (it c
"This place is awesome. Why have we never been here?" That's what I asked after dinner at Ginto. The restaurant itself feels huge, thanks to its high ceilings and open layout; as soon as you go past the bar and into the dining area, you can see all the way to the kitchen, with the back wall punctuat
Great tasting sushi and ramen. The ginger beer was a sweet add on choice. The props on wall is pretty scary and the wall itself the lights are amazing. Great spacing and alot of room perfect for large groups.
2019/7/10 update: I wasn't impressed with the sushi at first but today was really good. The hirame was a bit dull but everything else was tasty. The uni could have been a smidge sweeter but for the price I should be happy to get uni at all. Their negi toro is really good! I've been craving it and th
It was one of those days where I just couldn’t decide what to eat. I wandered up and down Geary Street between Union Square and here looking for something to catch my eye. Fortunately I saw a good Google review and decide to try it. It was busy and I had to wait. After all of that it was well worth
All of their dishes are not great (Sorry, I'm Japanese. My review about Japanese restaurant might be little bit strict), but thier sashimi is fresh!! Also, I like Ginto's sushi and yakitori. They serve Japanese dry beer (Sapporo). Inside the restaurant is cozy, and staffs are so friendly. One bonus
Amazing staff. Great food..fast friendly service.. Tumi is an amazing server. Sit at the sushi bar for a great experience. Yakitori is the best in the city. Happy hour all day everyday.
I miss yakitori. Since I moved to the bay, I hadn't gone to any until two weeks ago when my friend suggested that we met here. I thanked her for her great taste in food and atmosphere. It is right in Financial District and has a vast space. However, it wasn't packed. We took advantage of their Happ
The restaurant has an upscale vibe, and the prices are relatively average-to-high. The dinner set was delicious, though I didn’t try the mystery “tuna meatball” that came with it. Service was a bit slow, and our server seemed not to be paying much attention. We waited a long time for our bills, and
I’ve never been to an izakaya with vaulted ceilings and with a capacity of well over 100, but Ginto worked for lunch for us today. We enjoyed our lunch sets. The tempora was surprisingly tasty and the service was friendly and fast.
Good happy hour but can be pricey otherwise. Good quality, but definitely a bit more expensive than you'd expect.
Great place, little touristy but this is San Francisco. Price wise this place is on par with any other place in the area. Menu is Asian fusion. Food was great. We did a few rounds of sushi and yakitori. Drinks were OK, not a great selection there. Staff here were good very attentive and kept our gl
First time I came here I got the chicken karaage rice bowl which was very good. Nice and crispy and the sauce was not too drenched like some other restaurants have it. The rice was also nice and sticky how Japanese rice is. This time I got the premium sashimi platter. Although it was good it took a
