Hang Ah Tea Room - San Francisco - Photo album

The restaurant is old but has classic 1920s ETA old Chinatown charm. We ordered: Hong Kong style beef chow fun Fried shrimp ball Shrimp dumpling (har gow) Siu Mai Turnip cake Lotus wrap sticky rice with pork and chicken Everything was excellent, but the Siu Mai was the best I've had in a long time.
I’ve always wanted to come to Hang Ah but it was closed whenever I showed up at odd hours for San Francisco Chinatown. Today we stayed at the local Hilton so we were there early for Jasmine Oolong tea 🍵 and dim sum. The scallion pancakes were okay, pretty BreAsh and a lot of food. I took a lot to g
Yesterday , I had a craving for scallion pancakes; Manager at nearby Nepali supermarket where I recommends the place next door, Hang Ah, which apparently the oldest dim sum in all of USA ; Oh it’s a fossil alright ; but it’s got charm; Sit outside for the soundtrack from children’s playground an
Visited Saturday on a short weekend getaway OMG. Such a cool historic little restaurant. Saw a video about it and knew I had to visit. Thought it would be more packed but it was kinda slow that day. Service was great, menu is great. It was a little warm inside but other than that I had a fantastic e
Perfect place for a genuine dim sim experience. Great hospitality & the food was delicious. We'd go back again (soon). Thanks for the fantastic culinary experience.
This is my go-to Dumpling place in SFO, I’ve tried others and nothing else compares. I eat here every time I come to San Francisco. (Kitchen often closes earlier than posted, so don’t show up thinking you will get to eat just before they close)
Really yummy dim sum. Have gone there twice and could see myself going again. The century egg sweet buns are my favorite.
Perfect as always :) decicouis dim sum, fair price and a lot of food. Try the cute animal buns for dessert!
Do you ever wonder where is the first din sum restaurant in the USA well this restaurant claimed as the first dim sum restaurant open in 1920. The dumpling freshly prepared at the restaurant. Soupy dumpling and their salt and pepper pork chop were very tasty, the steamed pork ribs taste delicious an
Excellent family dim sum restaurant. Yummy food and fair prices. You have to order off the list. We would go back again. Cute!
I highly recommend the dim sum combination b, mongolian beef, and the red bean steamed buns but we don't recommend the pineapple fried rice. Service was friendly and I'm happy I found this recommendation online otherwise we likely wouldn't have stumbled upon it. Worth checking out!
Amazing tasting dim sum and lovely decorations inside the restaurant. It’s hidden to the right by the children’s park but worth the hike lol
This place is absolutely amazing. The food was hot and fresh and most importantly delicious. The house made chili oil was the best I’ve ever had and went great with the food. Not fancy at all but atmosphere gives you a sense of history that’s hard to recreate. Would highly recommend. Especially for
