Thai Idea Vegetarian - San Francisco - Photo album

Amazing and tasty vegan food. Jain options available in most of the items. We tried jain red Thai curry, spring rolls, fried tofu and mango sticky rice. The restaurant is clean and good. Parking is little difficult to find.
The mango sticky rice and coconut ice cream is yum. Pad Thai is also delicious. Rice wrapped rolls with peanut sauce is yum. Ask for their amazing tamarind sauce on the side for your starters. Love the food here. The waiters are very efficient and quick here. They are very responsive to anything we
I recommend this restaurant, the food is really good. The personnel was really kind. All of the food was great, but the Yellow Thai "Lamb" Curry was specially delicious, one of the best dishes I've tasted. I would come back just for it!
Amazing food, polite and friendly staff. The chef takes a lot of care in their taste and as well as the presentation. The food is a delight. It will be a treat for non-vegetarians as well and might actually convince people to move to plant based food. The Volcanic beef or any other item from the che
Service, Cleanliness, and Food- all the things a great restaurant has, and Thai India has it all and more. Let me also just add that I ordered this food 3/5 days of my trip to SF… yes its that good! The service was amazing- staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. We could not believe h
I can’t believe I found a vegetarian Thai place that tastes as good as the real thing! I’m not a fan of fish sauce so I find the usual places a little too fishy. The pad see ew from this place tasted EXACTLY like a normal pad see ew without the overbearing fishiness. Loved it. Wish I lived in SF- I’
Thai Idea Vegetarian is a gem for anyone who loves Thai food and wants to enjoy it in a vegetarian or vegan way. The restaurant is cozy and clean, with friendly and attentive staff. The menu is extensive and creative, offering a variety of dishes that are made with fresh and quality ingredients. The
Portions are good and they have lovely plating — I like their carrot flowers and attention to detail. I had the Tom Kha soup (flavorful but a bit too sweet) and the curried cauliflower appetizer (tasty). At lunch time, they were almost empty, so not a particularly warm vibe but fine for a corporate
Vegan eats review: Massaman curry Pumpkin curry Pineapple fried rice (didn’t eat. Has egg.) Catfish dish Sweet and sour chick’n Fried tofu Spring rolls Curries were phenomenal. Appetizers standard fare. Catfish a tad salty. Sweet and sour chick’n a little too saucy for me. Portions were healthy.
Delicious! We got panang curry with tofu & pad se ew with mock chicken (no egg to make it vegan) & then had sticky rice with mango for dessert. Everything was so flavorful with great texture - we loved every dish. The ambiance is nice & restaurant felt very clean. Our waitress was very sweet, commun
Amazing place.. great ambience and service.. Food is delicious. Happy with the vegan menu. The dishes and desserts were great.. definitely visit again
Best thai food I've ever had, vegan or not. Everything is fresh and the veggie "meats" are great. Slight preference for their veggie "beef". We visited the restaurant once and ordered takeout twice during our 3 days stay in San Francisco! It's just a bummer that the neighborhood isn't great at all.
We went there for early dinner. We ordered Tom Kha soup (Vegan) , Green Curry (doesn't come with rice) & Pad See Ew(Vegetarian) & Sticky rice. Everything was amazing in taste. Service was nice and fast. Quantity was generous and prices are reasonable. Will be definitely coming back!
Lovely little restaurant. Love that it is all vegetarian so I don’t have to worry about oyster sauce or fish sauce in my meal. Food is delicious. Neighborhood has lots of trash everywhere and lots of people loitering near the restaurant. There was only one waitress but she was very efficient and kin
Great vegan food and good ambience!! Server was polite and very friendly; and also knew about jain options (no root vegetables) We ordered pad kee-mao, panang curry with Jasmine rice and golden cauliflower. Every dish was delicious!!
A good experience of Thai here. The spice levels are high. Would prefer a mild instead of medium spice level next time. Pad See Mow was amazing! Service was very friendly! Everything is vegetarian.
So here’s the thing… this place is located in the Tenderloin, which if you didn’t know, is sketchy as heck. My gf and I were alone at night walking around & we spotted this place and ran in. We are vegan and big foodies. So we got an app & two entrees, and they were all tasty. My gf tried the vegan
