Lucca Delicatessen - San Francisco - Photo album

Old school Italian deli that’s a little chaotic in a controlled, amusing way. Came in here for the first time around Noon on a Saturday. The service is excellent and sandwich is great. You simply grab a number, and then go up and order when you’re called. You have to squeeze by people but everyone t
Best Italian deli in the city! Sandwiches are unmatched. I had heard the potato salad was special and I found it underwhelming and too oniony but not bad at all. But the sandwiches are special. Fresh ingredients, decent portions for the price. Staff is generally friendly. They can be pretty overwhel

“What’s the second best place to eat in San Francisco?” I asked the Texan with a good palate. I’ve already tried that place. “What’s the third best place to eat in SF?” “Hmmm,” he pondered. “There’s a little deli around here that has really good meats.” I nodded, open to the suggestion. “They hav
A true Italian deli in the heart of the Marina. Their sandwiches are incredible and we usually pick up a bunch of antipasto, pasta, tiramisu, pannetone, etc for big holiday meals here. Staff is really friendly. Order ahead for the sandwich pickup so you don't have to wait in the lines.
One of the best delis in san fransisco. The American sandwich with turkey and cranberry is a must ! The potato 🥔 salad is famous and filling, and for dessert a tony cannoli .Try it and u wont regret !
Busy AF. Massive queue to order and a wait to get your food. There should be a sign telling you how to order as we didn’t know there was a number system and someone else in the line kindly let us know. Other than that - sandwiches were really great and big! I recommend it regardless! Also wish there
We relish going to Lucca when in SF. They have a wonderful assortment of specialty meats, and Authentic Italian foods not found everywhere. I love the vibe of hustle behind the counter in a small space. Everyone will wait as long as it takes because they know they will get the best of everything.
After a trip down to the Golden Gate Bridge we were looking for a quick bite, and nothing hits the spot like a good sandwich! This deli had high quality ingredients, solid sandwich options, and quick service. Highly recommend!
Due to the recommendation of a friend who was an exchange student at Berkeley, I visited right before closing on August 17th. I don't prefer sandwiches, so I didn't expect much. However, the charming atmosphere and really friendly and sincere staffs just prove why we should visit this place. I for
Everytime I come here, let me be clear, absolutely EVERY TIME they make my sandwiches so good. Doesn’t matter if it is during a rush or when its slow their quality does not decrease. Stopping by here is a must before going to sit at the beach! Will be back very soon!
This is the real deal. Family owned, original Italian deli. If you are into deli sandwiches you gotta to visit Lucca Delicatessen when in San Francisco. We had Caprese sandwiches and I had THE Pat Burrell, hands down one of the best I've ever had, possibly the best sandwiches in California. We are i
Best deli in SF for, like, ever. The Marina was historically an Italian neighborhood. The owners are part of that history. And the excellent food is part of that heritage.
I didn't know this place was here, the meatball is the best sandwich I alway get it/ its worth
Can’t go wrong with popping into an old school Italian deli. Lucca was spectacular. I ordered the “Pork-Etta” the bread was delicious and the meat with the arugula and olive oil with a dash of salt n pepper...simple yet so complex and filling. Half a sandwich was PLENTY Seriously. Excited to eat @ L
A friend highly recommended this place before we visited Palace of Fine Arts. Great recommended with authentic Italian goodies and sandos. Got a meatball because I wanted a warm sandwich. Chose everything to go with it and it was so tasty and filling. Will definitely try the deli and cured meats as
Ricky - gave me a personal experience and brought me back to NY with a custom sandwich which reminded me of home, a perfect combination of excellent customer service and wonderful food! Always going to recommend to friends. Very helpful and polite with helping me navigate this trip to San Fran!
I just bought a Ringstaller Droppler from some pinwheel with a man bun and went directly to the Lucca Deli to have a celebratory lunch. ...at least I won't have to laugh at my sandwich. 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆
