One of my all-time favorite dining experiences, significantly less formal than its big sister, which actually is a better fit for my style.

San Francisco is one of the few cities to set boats restaurants with Michelin stars I live in New Orleans we’re food is a big part of the culture but it’s never particularly great or varied how thrilling it was for me then to find an old-school wonderful French restaurant with such creative thinking and perfect delivery And not too fussy I look forward to returning to The City for a wonderful meal with a fried. C’est tres Cher. But so interesting. And it’s OK if you don’t drink, I don’t drink and never feel like I need to drink when I’m having wonderful food.

Excellent food. Attentive service. Comfortable atmosphere. This is truly a wonderful spot. We chose to sit at the bar to watch the magic in the kitchen happen. The kitchen staff were all very friendly and willing to share the secrets of their craft. The fixed menu was all fresh seafood and produce that were creative and elegant. We did the wine pairing and all the pairings, with the exception of the Italian red served with the trout, were perfect complements to the food (the red was fine by itself, it just didn't match the trout very well). I'd definitely return in another season to sample their menu again.

Perfection. Best dining experience I've ever had. We booked seating at the counter but found the heat from the cooking apparatuses was high and we switched with a couple at the window who wanted the counter. Worked out for everyone. Take your time and savor every detail of flavour. All foods sustainably harvested. Waste is minimized. This restaurant is well thought out and operated seamlessly. Service from staff is like a choreographed performance. You gotta treat yourself like this at least once in your life. Indulge!

Disclaimer: I am an amateur fine dining fan at best, and this was my first true fine dining experience in SF. But as a rookie to the gastronomy scene, this movie was absolutely exceptional. The atmosphere is so serene, the service is fantastic (featuring detailed verbal descriptions before every new course), and the food is outstanding. I had the 7-course dinner, and although each portion was quite small, after all seven courses I was quite full. The wine menu is also remarkable. You really feel like you're dining in Brittany!

Went for their holiday special dinner set that's seafood based. They had us sit by the wall on the counter-top table facing the kitchen. Its nice but every time they tried to hand us the plates it forced us to move a bit. So with a 7 course dinner set that's a lots of moving to make way for them to loud our dishes on the table. Regarding there dishes, maybe its just the way how French dishes are and everyone have their own opinions but the dishes are a bit heavy on the sour side. For a nice restaurant like this you would assume maybe the still-water they serve will a dash of lemon to being out the freshness but there isn't. Just regular water. Over all this a nice clean and unique experiences ad I don't normally eat French cuisine.

Came here for a special birthday dinner and it did not disappoint. Although a couple of dishes were not quite up to par (namely the good-but-not-great leeks and the thermally confused squash soup with mustard ice cream), they clearly take very creative risks in an effort to deliver the very best version that each combination of ingredients can offer. Two dishes that really stood out were the delectable squid ink boudin and the outright incredible and incomparable trout. Just ridiculously good. Service was outstanding, which you should expect from a Crenn restaurant. Highly recommend!

Everything in this restaurant is absolutely scrumptious. We were celebrating three important events, and decided to book the counter: it was a very good decision. We could take a look at the dishes preparation and the cooks usually explained and answered our questions. The menu changes constantly, so probably my review of every movement would be useless. However, here I tried one of the best breads I have tried and one of the best desserts I’ve tried too (riz au lait). It is not a cheap place, but you get what you pay for. Even when it was meant to be a transition dish, the carrot sorbet was absolutely delicious. You definitely have to come here.

All around five star experience. We walked in on a weeknight at around 5:30 and the place was kind of empty, so we luckily snatched two seats at the bar. It was interesting watching them make our food and let me tell you the head chef was intense, in a good way for me, not so much for the line cooks. EVERYTHING was delicious. The final dish on the tasting menu with the carrot sorbet was an interesting flavor that i have never had. it started out questionable but once all the flavors came together, it was like a party in my mouth. I so loved our experience and can't wait to go back again. This is probably the best value you can get for the price from a michelin 3 star restauranteur.
