Allegro Romano - San Francisco - Photo album

Very traditional Italian restaurant. It's a very small venue so it can be difficult to secure a table. I've been here for work engagements with a large party several times. The owner is heavily involved and an amazing host. The food is superb and if you're doing multiple courses, do not eat heavily
I really loved this place. I went there awhile back for a going away party for my husband's best friend. It was a party of about 10 people. From what I remember the food was delicious. The service was excellent. The non-stop wine was delicious and though the place is a bit smushed, it is intimate, ha
Lorenzo is a wonderful host whose wine pairing recommendations are spot on. Food has been consistently delicious for the 10 years we've dined there. Allegro celebrated its 20 years anniversary this year and continues to be a favorite spot for a special dinner.
Best dining experience ever! The food was fantastic - I feel like that was a given based on the menu containing truffle in half the items. But the real thing to talk about was the spectacular service. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. My date and I didn't have reservations, but walked
Awesome experience last night: food, service, atmosphere and did I say the owner Lorenzo was an excellent HOST. Have finally found our second home. Watch out Lorenzo - Mike and I will be back! tmosphere
An orgasmic experience with every bite..This is truly a gem. Hidden in Russian Hill with a view of the beautifully lit Bay bridge. . The chef....lets talk about the Chef Lorenzo....WOW...an explosion of personality. Service..hospitality. Excellence. I could go ad infinitum to extol Chef Lorenzo's ma
THIS is the place for authentic italian pasta in nob hill. it's an establishment. you will get first class treatment from the chef who lives in the apartment above his restaurant and truly puts heart & soul into this place. many famous people have dined here, but it still feels local and authentic.
Nice restaurant on Russian hill. I had the lamb shank ossobucco. It was cooked to perfection. We shared the chocolate ice cream dessert which was so good that we would go back to have that with a cappuccino!
Wow! We went here because it was across the street from our AirB&B. It was a delightful surprise: A 20-year-old neighborhood Italian restaurant where everything was perfect. Truffle risotto with freshly greate truffles. Perfectly cooked branzino. One of the best tira mi su I've ever had.
Incredible experience, wonderful food the best service with Lorenzo himself. Not to mention great friends to share it all with. Happy birthday and congratulations to Paul and Carrie
Live in NYC, always come by when in SF. Food is wonderfully prepared and the owner always makes you feel at home. Always bring friends and coworkers here and is universally loved. Recommended for anyone
Small owner operated Italian restaurant. Very good food. Nice ambiente -- almost like a neighborhood restaurant, but with very good food. The owner stopped at the table and chatted with us -- and threw in a special desert. We had a very nice evening.
This is now the outstanding Serafina, run by the same team. We had a sublime rack of veal, prededed by a prosciutto/mushroom pinsa.
