Rn74 - San Francisco - Photo album

Had the Thanksgiving menu and it was absolutely delicious. Staff were friendly and our waiter was a funny and engaging guy. It was busy, probably due to the holiday, but we had pre-booked and were seated after a short wait. The only fault was that the service was a bit hectic. They forgot one of our
RN74 is a mix between a dining car on a train hurtling through the French countryside + NYC West Village wine bar. Classy and upscale but friendly, professional and welcoming (although depending on your server, they may be a little overzealously pushy in upselling you on an appetizer or small plate.
Was part of the Michael minna test kitchen concept turned into full blown restaurant. Most patrons come here for the nibbles and great wine selection.
The cocktails are better than average, but it's the wines that provide the lure. The wine list is of acceptable breadth, but considerable depth. I fell in love with Burgundy at this place. The food is quite good, as you would expect from yet another Michael Mina franchise. The hangar steak is pa
It's always a grand time here. I love the decor and who doesn't love that it is a Michael Minna restaurant! I've been here twice for a work lunch. I love their salmon tartare, its fresh and I love that dill sauce. I've had their burger and snapper entree. For dessert, I've order the milk chocolate t
This is my new favorite restaurant in SF. Great service, excellent food, and very good wine list. I love the market board for wines. The prime rib was outstanding, as was the sashimi appetizer and tempura mushrooms. Desserts were nothing to write home about, but overall, the food is great and wine e
Really good but really expensive. I had the best lamb burger (a special that day) that I've ever had. However, I do have to eat very healthy and was surprised that they did not have a wheat bread option instead of sourdough. Not that I don't love sourdough, it's just not healthy for me. Great se
The first thing that grabbed me when walking in the door is the intimate, bistro atmosphere. Once seated it becomes instantly apparent that the staff and cuisine are of another level. The entire staff was very helpful and attentive. All of our food was excellent and came to the table in a timely man
So I just moved here from Boston, but I still work for the same company. Occasionally, people from work will come out to SF and visit. This was the restauraunt they chose to all meet up at later, and I went along. At first I thought it was going to be super stuffy, but it was actually a decent crowd
Excellent place for happy hour in the heart of the financial district. Their food is incredible and the service is quite charming. Heads up, they're doing an overhaul of the restaurant and opening up under another name but it's the same folks so I'll bet it'll be great. I think that's supposed to ha
The venue for this restaurant is beautiful. I absolutely love the seats made from train leather and the 'last bottle' railroad ticker. RN74 is a good spot to take out-of-town guests to show them a little gem of SF. The menu is limited but everyone can find something they love.
Nice NYEve/special dinner spot -- location was close to fireworks and they offered a very nice prix fixe dinner -- there were a few standouts on the menu. The restaurant -- despite running behind in seating us -- did everything to ensure they caught up w/o rushing. The space was somewhat noisy/broke
Great care is put into every dish and everyone on staff is very helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to food and wine. If you're like me, you'll need that help when you see the staggering wine list. So many things to choose from; but, it was easy after getting a great pairing recommendation. As
This is a great location for a happy hour or office party if you are looking for something a bit nicer than the average bar. They have an area by the windows they can cordon off for private groups that has served us well on a number of occasions. Prices are a bit steep but the cocktails and atmosp
Great place and awesome and extensive wine list. The food varied the two different nights I was a guest, but both really not bad. Just a little different execution. Overall high quality. I'd go back!
