Hayes Street Grill - San Francisco - Photo album

I have eaten at the Hayes Street Grill for years. I've enjoyed the food sometimes, sometimes not so much. The staff is always courteous and professional with the right amount of friendliness. I've always been seated promptly upon arrival when I had a reservation. Last night, the drinks were good, t
$$$ Had a reservation and were promptly seated. Quick service for drinks and decently quick for starters and entrées. Liked everything I ate but the final bill was $200 for 2 drinks, 2 starters, 2 entrees and 2 desserts. Nice decor and the mirrors make the space ‘bigger’. Cesar salad tasted excellen
If you're looking for something that has a little history in the area, this is the place to go! Food and service were excellent as well!!!
Such good food. Love the old Town vibe. Ever paper checks hand written. Small menu. Everything was great, minus the absurdly overpriced scoop of ice cream. Other than that, had a fabulous evening.
We picked this restaurant due to its close proximity to the New Conservatory Theater. We made on-line reservations and we were immediately seated upon arrival. The waiter asked if we were going to a show and what time it started. Service was fast. The food was very good. We had the sword fish, pork
A SF staple, especially before the symphony, which is evident in the crowd that dines there. Always good food, attentive servers. A warm familiar feeling when I enter in anticipation of a delicious dinner.
Every dish was a amazing from start to finish! Scallop, Sole, Calamari were cooked to perfection. The dessert tastes like heaven!
Our food was fantastic, especially the salads and oysters to start. Our server was a sweetheart. We’ll come back next time we’re in SF!
I ordered the fillet of sole which was perfectly cooked. The Acme bread was wonderful. It was the best meal I’ve had in recent memory. The cannoli ice cream was fine except the nuts were so hard, it’s only a matter of time before somebody breaks a tooth.
The food is always wonderful. As is the staff. We love this restaurant, one of our faves.
This is one of the first places I visited upon arriving in The Bay Area. Little has changed. We even have some of the same waiters. First and foremost, this is a fish restaurant. Second, prep and presentation are static. Someone says 'boring'; I say 'reliable and comforting'. There are seasonal va
Amazing as always. I had the scallops and two glasses of wine. We sat by the bar and rather enjoyed our seats.
This place was to die for. The service was amazing. The oysters were so good we ordered another round. The greens were so good I dont know why anyone would ever get fries with their order. I would eat here all day if I could. The fish (opah) was the most buttery flakey fish I have ever eaten.. I had
The food isn't bad, and service is fast - like, alarmingly fast... dishes arrive within 2 minutes of being ordered. But way, way overpriced. $33 - or really $40 when you include the "SF mandate" and tax - for a non-huge, non-exceptional piece of fish definitely feels excessive.
Traditional, old SanFrancisco atmosphere, service, and classic seafood right in the heart of new alternative cuisine restaurants.
