Hops And Hominy - San Francisco - Photo album

Ate here while on vacation at the recommendation of a friend who lives in SF. I liked that the food had all the comfort of Southern fare without feeling heavy and super bad for you. We ate family style to try a bunch of dishes. The two proteins of fried chicken and pork chop were hearty pieces of me
There for a private party. Everything was so fantastic. The staff are very kind, attentive and knowledgeable. And the food was phenomenal. OMG good. Such a great place. I'd go back for a regular meal. Full bar. Just plain old good. Loved it.
Came here at 6pm on a Thursday and was pretty full - was told we could get a table but needed to leave at 720 (which was fine) Food was very good - they serve a corn bread with whipped honey butter and that was absolutely delicious. We also had the ribs, pork chop and ribs and again very impressed.
Went there for dinner at 6pm, made a reservation earlier that day. We were seated promptly. It was very crowded at the bar, seems like happy hour crowd. Tables up the stairs were not full yet. I had the same thing I got the only two times I've been here, the pork chop. I really enjoyed it. It was c
This is a go-to place for us when we're in downtown SF. Great food and drinks. Love the corn bread. Great place to take visitors.
Loved it. Good atmosphere, busy and lively. Food is good and has good southern flavours. Had fried oysters and wings. Both really good, but the complementary corn bread brought it over the top. Would go back for sure.
Fast and friendly service, the food and drinks were delicious too. The complimentary cornbread was just the ticket to get the night started; not too heavy and not too sweet. The shrimp and grits were what I'd been looking forward to and the praline tart with dulche de leche sauce and ice cream was i
There is something about restaurants on alleyways off the main beat that makes them even better...less crowded, better quality, not as overrun with tourists. Hops & Hominy is one of those places. Absolutely delicious, fresh ingredients. And their chipotle "hopsauce" (hot sauce) REALLY packs an aw
I give this restaurant four out of five stars for one reason. The food here at this restaurant is delicious! They offer a different menu every day I believe and it verys and everything is organic food. They have a full bar and a lot of open seating! It was very quick for me to be seated in this rest
Been here many many times. Excellent service, great southern influenced comfort food with some healthier San Francisco posed options on the menu. Great cocktails, rotating beer selection with local drafts and often updated wine list. Fried chicken is the thing to get here, but today I went with a se
Loved my experience here! Great drinks, great food, great staff. 100% recommend to a friend and I'll definitely be stopping by when I'm in town again.
In need of a good craft beer and burger, I headed to Hops & Hominy. It’s a bit quiet during the day, so there was a sedate but welcoming vibe. There’s some interesting craft beers on tap and a short food menu that had many tasty bites. I had the impossible burger and an IPA, so mission accomplished.
A fun place with a great range of food and drinks options. The staff are great and helpful in making selections. I highly recommend the fried chicken. If you want a great drink option, try the bacon infused Manhattan. Both are outstanding!
So, after the 555 California Christmas tree lighting i had dinner at Hops & Hominy. My reservation was for 8:30. I arrived a little early and sat down to wait because my table wasn't ready. A few minutes later I asked for a glass of water. They were grudgingly gracious but the norm, as far as my
I came here with two friends after work for a drink. We ended up getting a table and they brought the most delicious complimentary cornbread over. We decided to get wings and fried pickles with our beers. We sat in their outdoor seating area which was lovely, and we were not ignored by the waitstaff
Hard to find but worth trying! Main entrance next to the funky shoe store. Had one of the best oyster po'boys in my life. Crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside. Came with fries but it's all about the sandwich.
Ah another restaurant I really like, albeit a bit pricey - like most SF restaurants. There's just way too many in San Francisco. I love that there's a good happy hour selection. Great appies ranging from fried oysters, to hearty salads, and also delicious Mac and Cheese! It was so good - the oyster
Chef is amazing. Creative and delicious menu. Great place for dinner with friends. A highlight of our visit to San Francisco.
