Was looking for a lobster roll fix and have to say, they nailed it. A tad on the pricey side for a Canadian visiting with our exchange, but would come back without a doubt. Hands down one of the best lobster rolls I have had. And I'm comparing this to the east coast New Brunswick / P.E.I. who arguably have the best around. We ordered two lobster rolls with fries! The fries were delicious as well!

A last min spot after the Annual Pride Parade . I ordered the clam chowder and the Cioppino. Both are absolutely delicious. My friends had fish and chips, and the stuffed artichoke. I loved how attentive and patient the servers were. They made sure we had water and the food was to our liking. Prices are moderate, and spacing is smaller than expected but still good. I will definitely return. In fact, I look forward to it!

Iam giving the Woodhouse on Market St 5Star. I have been going to this place for almost 15yrs or maybe more, and it's my go-to place when i crave for Fish & Chips in The City. Not only is it conveniently located, u may be able to find better parking here compared to their Fillmore location. I love that its right on Church and Market St so its usually a one stop shop area for me as we have 24hr Safeways across the street, WholeFood a block up, Ace Hardware nextdoor and of couse Muni, FLine stop in front of the place and Muni underground that basically stops underneath the restaurant. For those that love their Cali Green like most of my friends, they visit one of the best Dispensary half a block away before they come to pig themselves out in here hehehe. Its small i must say, but us regulars are always aware that if there is a line like Oyster Tuesdays, we dont try to hold the table up. Staff are super friendly and even small, iam not gonna lie, its not noisy like the Filmore one where the last time i was there with friends, we couldn't even hear each other with dishes banging. So if u wanna check these guys out, I recommend checking out their Menu and head on over cause it is definately centrally located with tons of happening bars and coffee shops around it u can also check out after. For the ones that love taking pictures of SFs Street Cars, this is the best place to do so and make sure u get a window sit. Hope to see u guys there soon.

If you are near Market Street on a Tuesday, I would definitely recommend visiting them for their oysters. They are $1.25 apiece and the quality has been consistent good. Sometimes they may forget to give you a couple of oysters if you order to go (the last picture is the one they have forgotten to include so I came back for it a couple hours later), but just come back for it. I felt a little awkward to ask them to give me the missing oyster (so did the staff) but the oysters are good enough that I think it's worth it :-p (and they really did forget, so....).

While in San Francisco, I went to Woodhouse Fish Co. and I had the Clam Chowder Bread Bowl. The clam chowder was pretty good! It came with oyster crackers and a piece of bread. The chowder didn’t have strong flavours, but it had a good amount of richness and creaminess with several chunks of clam meat. The clam meat seemed pretty fresh and nice to me. I had some of the chowder with the oyster crackers and some without it, and I liked it both ways. I really liked the clam chowder! I loved the bread! Their bread was made in house. It was soft, flavourful, and quite fresh, and it had a bit of sourness added to it, which added to the flavour of the bread in a positive way. I also scraped the soft part of the bread from the bread bowl, as it was bread already soaked in the chowder, which I enjoyed having. The service is also really good and the restaurant is nice and clean. I ended up going back the next day again for their clam chowder, and I’m glad that I came here!

Reddit steered me and my husband here to try the Dungeness crab roll. The squid ink pasta sounded delicious so we ordered one to share too. Both were very solid dishes but I wouldn’t say they’re the best they could be. They could use a smidge more seasoning. The fries were unexpectedly addicting. We saw a few locals come in for the clam chowder but we didn’t try it since we were so full. Service was good. We came on a weekday for lunch and it wasn’t busy at all! Parking was easy to find but it was a sketchy area. We saw a few homeless people and broken glass on the street, so it can be daunting for some non-locals like us.

The service is amazing !! Best treatment by the workers. 2 male waiters. They were friendly and very helpful in suggesting food choices on their menu. Wonderful with kids for sure. One even offered to take a group picture of us while we were there. The food was beyond my expectations. I highly recommend this place. You should visit if you're in San Francisco.

First tried cioppino here 10 years ago on our 1st visit to San Francisco, 2nd time was 5 years ago and this June 2023 was our 3rd. So glad that the cioppino was as delicious and delightful as the 1st time. At $29, the CP is high, we get shallots, mussels, clams good and fresh portion of fish and crab. The only difference we noticed was that the broth is spicier than previous... Hopefully, we get to dine here again...

My favorite crab roll in SF bay area. Highly recommend the dungeness crab roll. The bread is toasted and buttered. The crab is fresh and lightly seasoned to let the taste come out. It comes with a choice of side (chips, fries, salad). Cole slaw tastes great too! It may seem expensive for a sandwich but it is seafood, and it's a lot of work to de-shell to get all that meat! This shop on Market St is smaller but has a lot of historic decorations which makes it so fun! If you have a big party, visit their Fillmore location.

The food was amazing! The best clam chowder I have ever had! We also got their steamed clams/muscles and a lobster roll and salmon tacos. Everything came out pretty quick and, tasted fabulous, and the seafood was all very fresh! The wait staff was extremely attentive. The best part of all was my son accidentally left his bag on the bar when we left. We must have been 10 minutes down the street when one of the waiters somehow found us and chased us down to return it. He had to really go out of his way and take the time to find us. I love this restaurant because of the food, but most of all because good, kind considerate people work there. Thank you Woodhouse for making our night!! We will be back! If you are in the area, check it out for yourself. You will not be disappointed!
